I’ve been going to Jon for years and have been amazed at the transformation of my hair!! He’s a master of color! The cut is perfect! I’ve tried them all before I was lucky enough to have been referred to him. I wouldn’t even think about going to any other place!! I went for a balayage from box dyed dark hair and I can’t believe what an amazing job the hair stylist did he really is good at what he does. Looks great highly recommended.

Jon is an amazing hairstylist. I have been going to him for years. I always tell him, “It’s no longer my hair, it is his and he may do whatever he sees fit”My hair has been transformed! I never go to an event or even shopping that I don’t get at least one compliment on my hairPlease remember … people spend $$$$ for clothing and jewelry to be worn occasionally or maybe even just one time. You wear your hair EVERY DAY!!I did not take any pics of his last creation, as soon as I do I will post it!WARNING: be ready to be jealous!

My first appointment with John Gaing, and the first time Ive left a salon feeling great about my hair! He ACTUALLY LISTENED to what I was envisioning, what I did, and did not want. I have very fine hair and until today no one ever seemed to know what to do to achieve the look I wanted. He spent the entire time I was there focused on me, not running back and forth with one or two more clients at the same time, which is so common in other salons. Plus John is a happy, very personable guy! Highly recommend!

I started getting my hair taken care of at Jon Marcus Salon just about a year ago. I want to start by saying that I have been to a few local area barbershops and salons, and the atmosphere here is completely unique to itself. The stylists become your friends- they truly care about what is going on in your life, and ensure that when you visit the salon for your hair, the experience becomes so much more than just about the way you will look afterwards. I personally get my hair cut by John, who has grown to become supportive of my personal and professional aspirations, and has always been a strong supporter of the community (which is demonstrated annually with his salons Relay For Life contributions). My haircuts are always top of the crop, and I know this because of the compliments I always receive after seeing John. All together, the salon, stylists, management, and your look simply cannot be beat.You will thoroughly enjoy your experience at Jon Marcus Salon!

I just happened into the salon today because my Sarasota Stylist was booked. I needed my roots touched up and a fabulous blow dry. John exceeded all my expectations. I have been to literally hundreds of sylists in my life and he knows what he is doing. There is no replacement for skill, experience and just plain having a gift. My hair looks and feels fantastic. Truly gorgeous. Perfectly styled, yet looks and feels so natural. What a treasure. He is fun and down to earth and the prices are resonable. Thank you John! Terrific little shop and talent you have!

I went to Jon’s hair salon today, I called him for an appointment and he was available the same day. Very nice and courteous employees work here, I was very impressed with the haircut I got today as well. 10/10 will be going back here!

I use to go to New York Hair, but after all of the stylist left before of new management I followed my stylist to Jon Marcus. I noticed it was poorly rated when I went to look up the number to make an appointment. I can tell you that the bad reviews are done by the Owner of New York Hair. I can personal attest to the fact that if something is every wrong they will take care of it. I have never had a problem, and they have always done a great job.Please note that ALL the reviews are from after July when the new owner took over at New York Hair.
