Its been such a long time since I felt confident because of my hair. I was recommended to Michelle Witham and couldnt be happier ☺️. A cut and color made me feel better but the thinness of my hair still bothered me. She mentioned hair toppers and I researched and purchased 3 and took to her for a consultation. She picked the one she thought was right for me. I left it with her to color and went back when it was ready. I left with tears in my eyes from true happiness and confidence. I would highly recommend this salon and Michelle Witham for what they have done for me.

Holy Hair Repair! I had an emergency hair repair need and James Griffith Salon saved the day! And my hair!I went to another salon for blonding services. Unfortunately, I was left with purple and gray hair when I should have been a more platinum blonde. I was mortified and embarrassed, stressed and confused. I was instructed to just wash my hair every day and it would eventually lighten and fade. I left they salon in tears. (This was not James Griffith Salon)I called James Griffith Salon from the parking lot of the other Salon and explained what happened. Even though its the hight of season and I was not one of their clients, they were able to get me in the very next day for a color correction.I was so grateful, thankful and relieved with the process and work performed on my hair to correct the color. They talked me through each step of the process and made sure I was comfortable with their plan.I cannot thank them enough! Im beautifully blonde again and couldnt be happier with the outcome.I highly recommend this Salon for all your hair care needs!

My hairdresser Amy was amazing! My dad and I went together to donate our hair and they really made it such a special experience for us. They did a beautiful job of prepping and cutting our hair and were kind enough to help us capture the moment by taking pics for us. From beginning to end a very easy and fun experience. Soooo so happy with my visit here! Everyone was so friendly and they have great teamwork. The salon is clean and welcoming. I went to Hailee Luke and she is amazing! She gave me a fantastic haircut, she was very thorough and spent a lot of time making sure it was even which I loved. She was friendly the whole appointment and colored my hair beautifully. My hairstylist moved to another state and hence I have been in search of a replacement hair stylist. I tried several hair salons, yes, but I am happiest with James Griffith Salon of Venice. My hairstylist is Amanda and she DID a GREAT job. I finally got the hairstyle that I always wanted. Amanda is meticulous, not rushing, and knows her hair business. Alleluia! BTW, this is a very cool hair salon, clean and spacious.

Ive been going here 8 years. Very nice place, ALWAYS~ polite, friendly, professional. Pricey but probably the norm. Ive seen Michelle, Jamie & Dani. Love them, but I am sure everyone here will take very good care of you. James has built a lovely & efficient business & staff.I want to add that I have been seeing Dani exclusively, for a couple of years now. I have long hair that I have highlighted & can get very tangled in the shampoo bowl. She is excellent, always gentle & doesnt rip my hair, in a hurry. You can imagine how important that is, if you have long hair too. I highly recommend her, she will always do a beautiful job.

Andrea is amazing! She did a keratin treatment and cut on my first visit and walked me through caring for my hair, and introducing the appropriate products for maintenance. My second visit she did a fantastic color job! My husband even got his hair cut and he loves it as well. Couldn’t be happier!

I normally see Jamie, who is just fabulous, but in her absence she had me see Hailee. I will admit, I was worried because it is hard for me to go to someone new. But......she did not disappoint - perfect job on my color and bangs, AND, her skills with washing/conditioning were AMAZING!!! Oh, and did I mention her super-sweet personality? JG is awesome. They invest time and educational opportunities in their employees and it shows. While this is certainly not an inexpensive hair salon, the price is well worth the end result and service. Ive had several hairdressers here and each one has been highly skilled, wonderful at listening, and thorough.

My story started out a little sad. I moved to Florida from (you guessed it)... Ohio! I had beautiful blonde hair and I was in search of a new hair stylist. I went through like 6-7 hair stylist. Each one making my hair more copper/ way too gold. I finally decided I was going to go a little darker to my natural hair color. Well that didn’t turn out how I wanted. One stylist turned my hair blue and I spent $200. I finally got in contact with this AMAZING salon. My aunt is a blonde and she loves her stylist Hailey. I made an appointment and Hailey said because of the damage that was done my dream hair might not be able to be achieved until a couple appointments later. I understood but I went ahead and booked the appointment. Well that appointment went better that I had ever expected. I was greeted by the young ladies up front and they were very warm, professional, and helpful. I was quite impressed. Hailey listened to my concerns, and cared to my every need. She did such an amazing job I cried haha. Hailey helped me achieve getting my confidence back. I’m finally smiling more and taking photos which I hadn’t done in a while. So thank you Hailey so much! You’re stuck with me :)

This was my first time , and very happy! I moved to Venice in October last year, and I have been through three salons. First salon I got blonde patches instead of highlights and got my scalp burned. Second salon I got correction , third highlights I didn’t like because it came out darker than platinum more like honey or something, and haircut without style just gut my hair chopped off . Anyway! I found this salon finally and I requested a master level stylist and was so pleased with her! Bianca is very very knowledgeable and proffessional, she knew exactly what I wanted and how to get it done! Top of it she’s fun to be around. The ashy platinum beach blonde is my style and she’s an expert to deliver what my favorite look is just like my color specialist in NYC for 12 years. She did not have time to cut my hair that day but I took the appointment anyways because I was leaving town the following week so someone did my haircut. I forgot the name of the stylist and really want her and the management to know how great she was, I showed her a picture of me that was a cut back in NYC and did the exact cut! I mean seriously? Awesome talent!The only little problem was that the receptionist didn’t schedule enough time, I got out little more than an hr later than she told me I will. But they all were amazingly kind , and now they know me they will make sure to give enough time to the stylist to work on my hair. If it’s your first time and you have something long and complicated going on just make sure you can stick around longer and don’t have to be somewhere right after. It is still a very very proffessional and fantastic 5 star salon with great talents! I will stick around, finally I found where I get the look I love and spend time in a place that’s welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is energetic, upbeat and awesome! Stylists continuously take the next step to learn brand new techniques and styles they go to trainings all the time so you can have the latest trend when it comes to your hair!

Went to James Griffith when I was in high school. Decided to go back a few weeks ago and I was so impressed. I had been battling going bright white blonde from day one at the salon, meaning the only solution at previous salons to get white and not have a ton of warmth, was to have purple roots for a week first, then as the purple faded the blonde would be there with little warmth. I went to see Hailee and she got me whiter than I have ever been from day 1!! I would highly recommend Hailee at James Griffith if you are blonde and do not want a lot of warmth. Also the Aveda products are great for my hair, JG team even had a list of gluten free products, since I am celiac. Super helpful. The pixie cut was done by the other Hailey at JG haha, very good cut. (Pictures below are of the white blonde I wanted with peek a boo color for a wedding I went to, a gift I created for my awesome stylist, and the wedding I went to with bright blonde hair.)

I absolutely love this salon! Ive been a client since I moved to Venice from Connecticut. Because of my work schedule I had to switch stylists a while ago. I ended up with Haylee who is an absolutely beautiful goddess of color, cut and styling.Today she colored me, but because I had to rebook at the last minute, she didnt have availability to cut me. As fate would have it, I had yet another Haylee cut my hair after the color.So...what? Theres 2 Haylees and theyre both BOMB. How does James Griffith do it? I dont know, but his staff is wizard- level amazing.Come to Venice. Get your done. I will share my Haylees with you.

I am a stylists challenge! Course, shoulder length curly/frizzy over-processed dry hair. And I have been around the world visiting hundreds of salons. I had purchased a human hair expensive topper that I wanted a stylist to match. My hair had taken on a red tinge and the topper was a golden highlighted dark blonde. Lauren K. took on the challenge and the result was fabulous! I truly do not know how she was able to match the topper and make my hair shiny and beautiful but she did. Bravo and much gratitude to Lauren!

Friendly staff with great team work. Automated reminders are nice via text but a little impersonal for voicemails. Tours would be helpful for first timers, it was confusing to park in the back and decide whether the rinse bowl would be near the front desk, go up stairs or into the hair arena. I recently had dinner with 5 friends and one of them asked if I had my hair colored and styled that day. I was honest and told them it had been 3 weeks since I had it done by Sierra. My friends went on, almost disbelieving, as they stated how shiny and healthy my blonde hair looked. I told them before and I told them again that it begins with an excellent stylist,Sierra, and that I use only their Kerastase full line of products. My hair looks healthier now than it did when I was fifty years old which is some time ago. If you want to experience full healthy and shinny hair, try the Kerastase line. If you are looking for a new hair salon, I would strongly recommend James Griffith Salon of Venice. Tell them Sue D sent you. You will be happy if you give them a try. Your friends will think you too just had your hair colored and styled😉

Ive seen Haley twice now in Venice. She also works at their Boca Grande location. Shes super sweet & bends over backwards to make sure your hair turns out exactly the way you want it.I have very long, wavy at the roots hair & she cut off about 2 of dead dry ends, all over my head & it came out perfectly, along with my highlights! I recommend the salon in general as all of the stylists there are experts at what they do.
