I first went here to get my hair done for my wedding over 2 years ago. Consuelo was very patient, welcoming, and she did an amazing job on my hair and because of that and the super chill environment, Ive been going ever since. Whether its to get my hair done for photoshoots or hair care maintenance, TET is my go to! The service is always exceptional!The staff and other patrons are also welcoming. They always greet me, are respectful, and polite.I 100% recommend this salon.

Ms. Consuela and her team are the best!! Shes been working great with my 10yr old daughter since she was about 3yrs old. And she doesn’t specialize in doing little kids hair but she did for me being a single father. I recommend her and her team for any woman out there trying to get their hair done. My daughter always feels great leaving her shop!

I always look forward to my appointments at TET. Consuelo is always so welcoming and positive. She cares about you as a person and not just a paying client. I drive 45-60 minutes to get to her. Of course, there are stylists closer to my home that I’ve gone to but they just don’t exude the same attention and care as Consuelo. I recommend her at every opportunity.Margaret Blair

I’ve been affiliated with Consuelo for over 25 years and as the years and times evolve so has she, the BEST versatile stylist and a legend in the city. She gets way more than 5 stars from me. She color cut curl texturize relax perm teach braid twist lock and many many more. As you can tell by my post I’m quite pleased and enthused by anything she does. Love y’all in this shop hands down.

Salon has a great welcoming atmosphere. Few places practice the science of hair. I loved that our hair was evaluated first and a plan for “healthy” hair was developed for my daughter as a priority. Consuela and her team are AMAZING!!

Glad to find a thorough and knowledgeable stylist (Consuelo) on a booking site. Shes the only stylist to find a semi-permanent color that wasnt stripped by all of my other services. Long story short: What a gem of a salon!! I’ve lived in St Pete for 6 years and wish I had found this place sooner. Easy online booking process, welcoming atmosphere, awesome stylists with top-notch hair knowledge and expertise. Highly recommend for any type and length of hair!The details: For over a year I worked up the courage to get my long hair cut into a pixie. When the new year arrived, I decided it was finally time to make the big change, so I researched stylists and locally owned salons in St Pete before deciding to book an appointment at a salon on Central Ave with someone proclaiming themselves to be a pixie expert with over 40 years experience. (Unfortunately, TET hadnt come up in my initial search even though it is just a 2 minute walk from where I live.) Lets just say, I left that appointment feeling very disappointed, very UNfabulous, and like I received a terrible Karen haircut that I already wanted to grow out.About 3 weeks later it was time to get a maintenance trim and I sure as heck wasnt going back to the guy who butchered my hair the first time. This is when I discovered the hair goddesses at TET and Tasha, the stylist with master barber skills. It was close to home and I liked that there was a female with master barber skills there, so I decided to give her a try. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE!!Upon entering the salon, I was warmly greeted and welcomed. When Tasha was ready for me, we had a discussion about my hair goals and what services I was looking for from her that day. I could tell she was already assessing my (terrible) haircut when I sat down in her chair and I felt comfortable sharing with her the mishaps of my pixie hair journey so far. I showed her pictures of what my cut was *supposed* to look like and what I wanted it to eventually look like as I grow it out a little. She immediately validated my feelings that I had *not* received the haircut I wanted from the other guy and she said she felt bad that Id had such a poor experience when making such a big change to my hair.We talked a little more and she assured me that she could get my hair to how I want it to look, but she needed me to commit to seeing her regularly and trust the process under her skillful eye. After just a brief conversation with Tasha, I already trusted her and had no problem committing to her services for the long haul. She set to work, spending more time on my hair than what I had actually booked her for, and continued to reassure me that she would get my hair to a look that I loved. She even consulted with Consuelo (another amazing stylist and owner of TET) to confirm she had a good plan in place for correcting my messed up haircut, and together they coached and educated me on styling products to use during my grow-out phase. To say they went above and beyond for me is an understatement!I left that appointment with Tasha feeling seen, heard, acknowledged, validated, and cared for - she even welcomed me to the TET family, which was really heart-warming. Getting my hair cut is an intimate and anxiety-inducing event for me, and I know this review is long but I wish there had been more honest and thorough reviews available when I was doing my initial research on where to get my hair cut in downtown St Pete.TL; DR: The stylists at TET are amazing and they have exceptional hair knowledge and styling skills. They want you to love your look and will listen and work with you to achieve your hair goals. More specifically, if you’re looking for a place that does bomb short hair for women, GO HERE! Thank you, TET, for being the saving grace I needed when my pixie cut from another salon didn’t turn out at all how I wanted…looking forward to my next appointment with Tasha!
