    Breklyn and everyone at Hair On Central are the most amazing people! I have a pixie and when I moved to Florida I was so nervous about getting a new stylist. Breklyn made the transition so easy and made me feel confident and beautiful. Plus she’s just a wonderful person overall. I would give them more stars if I could!

    My experience at Hair on Central blew it out of the park. I just moved to this downtown area and finding the right stylist can be challenging. Makenzie was amazing. Her skill is incredible- the best highlights I’ve gotten in a long time!! It was more than the hair service though. The place and people have HEART!! Super kind and humanistic! I strongly encourage you to see Makenzie!! You won’t be sorry!!!

    Makenna is an absolute gem. I walked in today crying from someone who had just royally messed my hair up. I went home lifted my color and walked in not knowing the salon looking for just a consultation to see if anyone could possibly fix my hair. Makenna welcomed me and comforted me and assured me we’d fix it. She went through a whole consultation to make sure she had a clear picture of what I wanted and she nailed it. I would recommend her 10x over! (Camo shirt is the mess up. Grey shirt is Makenna’s amazing fix. )

    I never write reviews but this place 100% deserves it. I just moved to this area and wanted to make a change to my hair. Breklyn did my hair and she did an amazing job. She gave me exactly what i wanted and was the sweetest soul and very professional. She transitioned me from brunette to blonde without damaging my hair and she was very gentle. I also asked her if we could dye my eyebrows so they would match my hair better and she killed it. Im definitely going back again and I would recommend everyone to go there.

    Everyone was so friendly. Breklyn delivered exactly what I asked for. I just recently moved to St. Pete and was nervous about a new hair dresser. She exceeded all of my expectations and I am in love with my hair!Edit because I cannot add another review.. After 1 year I am even more satisfied and so happy anytime I have to visit HOC! They are always delightful! I can give a general idea of what I want and they can deliver it 100x better.

    Breklyn and her Stylists are fantastic Hairstylist and her salon is very professional. I’ve been in the hair industry for 45+ years and have owned and operated Salons of my own. She is very fair and does not take advantage of her clients. When there is time involved and extra product involved there is a pricing range that is considered including the experience and level of the associate performing the service. Most Salon owners in the industry and clients are aware of this. Happy day :)

    Love this salon! Have been going to Breklyn for about three years now and she’s amazing.     I went to Hair on Central because my hair was becoming too gold in color and wanted to get back to ash blonde. Breklyn was my stylist and transformed my hair to a beautiful ash blonde in one session! She also understood my haircut needs and did a wonderful job. I like to call her the hair whisperer! The salon is very professional and very friendly!

    Updated Review: So I wrote a review about a month ago which I will leave below this one… but seriously, I cannot give Breklyn and this place enough love. After receiving some really tough news regarding a family member the morning of my appointment ~that I had been looking forward to for 2 months~ I was sure I was going to have to cancel and reschedule. After debating for a while, I realized that there would be no point in cancelling my appointment just to go sit in a hospital waiting room all day. I let Breklyn know what was going on and that I still wanted to make it to my appointment. She was my angel that day. I’m so glad I kept my appointment because sitting in that salon all day was exactly the distraction I needed. Breklyn and her team made a horrible day somewhat bearable, and I really can’t thank them enough for that!!! She even checked up on me the next day to ask how me and my family were doing. You don’t find people like Breklyn often, she truly is a blessing on earth. Not to mention, she absolutely nailed my hair *obviously*, and now I’m all ready for summer with my long blonde mermaid hair!!:)Original review and photos: I will absolutely never be going to a different hair salon again. Mrs. Breklyn absolutely nails it every single time. She took me from Brunette to Red, and then from Red to Blonde. Somehow my hair is still as soft as ever. She is literally a miracle worker!!!

    Breklyn and her team are absolutely amazing. I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years since I moved down here. My hair always look amazing each time and we’ve tried many styles for a men’s cut.Breklyn and her team did my entire wedding party’s hair and they received so many compliments.     I very rarely write reviews except for now. If you are looking for a hair salon in St. Pete, this is the place for you. I found Hair on Central in 2018 and was introduced to Breklyn (boy was I lucky). Breklyn and her staff go above and beyond to listen to every detail about your hair and give you exactly what you want. The atmosphere is calm and the shop is beautiful. You are always advised of pricing so there are no surprises about what anything will cost. I absolutely love this salon.

    There’s only one place I’d show up to the DAY before my wedding for a haircut for myself AND my fiancé (who has long hair) without a second thought. That is because Brek is CONSISTENT. You always know what you’re going to get — the best service for the best price. She is solid. She is incredibly Talented. And her amazing sweet soul is just a bonus.     Ive been dying my hair fantasy colors for 7 years now and when i moved back to st pete 4 years ago i search for a quality salon that would be able to keep my pinks and purples looking fresh. I was paired with breklyn and i couldnt be happier. She is always up for any of my crazy colors and ideas and executes them amazingly!!! She always does a beautiful job and helps bring my vision to life. She always finds time for me to come in and ive never had a bad experience with her. My hair always looks amazing and healthy even with all the color in my hair. I love this salon and am so glad that we got paired up all those years ago. The pricing is always reasonable and they are upfront with what they charge. If youre looking for a forever salon look no further. These ladies are top notch!!!

    The whole staff is super friendly and welcoming they are so sweet I went in for a hair dye Mackenna did a great job picking the color that would go with my skin complexion and it turned out great just like I wanted it its like she read my mind i didnt even show her pictures.     Darla and Breklyn are both extremely experienced, qualified and creative stylists. I have been a customer at this salon since 2018 and have always been happy and very pleased with color applications and haircuts! Aside from being super talented, these stylists and the entire staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating when scheduling appointments. Additionally, the cost of services is significantly fair!

    LOVE my hair!!! Elvis is the sweetest person ever! I highly recommend her. She did an amazing job on my hair. Amazing colorist and stylist!! The owner of the salon was there as well.     Just got a fabulous haircut from Kuniko. She has a great understanding of my hair texture and how to best cut my style for my face. And the best part is her head massage with the shampoo. Just wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable.

    I always get stressed going to a new hair stylist. I have been searching for a new one since moving here and now I’ve found one! Breklyn listened to my concerns, talked me through what she thought might be going on with my hair and provided me with really helpful tips to help my hair growth.     I am using a friends account but I was in town on business and found them online, I called and she was super nice, I went in and the atmosphere was great, the lady that cut my hair and colored it was new to the area(I think she moved there in May) but what a great job she did!! I loved my color and my cut, she was super friendly and talked to me to entire time, I felt right at home there. The other stylist that was there (sorry not good with names) was also very friendly even offered to grab lunch! I would recommend them to everyone, and I have family that lives in the area so definitely when I am down visiting I am getting another appointment. Thank you so much for the awesome experience.

    I was looking for a new stylist a few months ago and decided to try Hair on Central because I remembered seeing their creative and funny sayings on thier sandwich board on the sidewalk when I would walk by.I ended up booking with the owner Darla and I was really happy with my cut. She gave me her recommendations on style but also listened to exactly what I wanted. I love both of the cuts I have gotten there so far and am so glad I found Darla. I have short hair and am always looking for someone who can work well with my kind of style/cut.The salon is really warm and friendly. Darla and the other stylist, Breklyn, are both super nice and a lot of fun to chat with. They make you feel very comfortable and immediately feel like friends.Hair on Central is a great little local salon that is professional, clean and fairly priced. They also have an easy to use online booking system, which I love the convenience of.I would definitely recommend this salon!!

    I was only in town for two days visiting and wanted to get my hair done but was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a place with availability in such short notice. However, within ten minutes from my call I was sitting in the chair and getting my hair done by Kuniko. She did an AMAZING job and I am so happy. She even took the time to redo something I wasn’t too sure about the next day and didn’t make me feel bad about it! I appreciate that so much in a hair stylist :)

    I have had several services done at Hair on Central. Extensions, cuts, and color. Every service I have had has been exceptional and beautifully done. I never leave the salon unhappy. I can honestly say this is the best salon I have ever visited. No matter who does my hair, they actually listen to what I want and make awesome suggestions to fine tune and make my desired outcome come to fruition.Miss Darla and Miss Cheryl are both very friendly and very inviting. I am always offered coffee or water upon my entrance to the salon and find the salon to be exceptionally clean and decorated very nicely.     We found Hair on Central through online reviews about 8 months ago. My wife and I book our appointments together with Darla. My wife gets fantastic haircuts and color. Then Darla works wonders on my unruly hair. We have been extremely happy with every visit and Darla and her staff want honest feedback about the experience. They are moving to a new neighborhood and we will be following.

    I am so happy with my hair cut! Milli did a great job, and the salon is very accommodating with schedules. Ive had a few bad hair cuts and was a little nervous, but Milli was able to translate what I liked in pictures to my very own head! :) Ive never left a review for a stylist or salon before, but felt compelled to pass along my experience. The salon is very nice, not haughty, but definitely classy. Im so glad I found them (and Milli!).

    Needed a new stylist with pixie experience and found Breclyn at HOC. She cut my hair better than my previous stylist who had been doing my hair for the last 5 years. Breclyn used all the latest techniques; she was extremely sweet and pleasant. She told me that she recently moved from Seattle and most of her clientele were women with pixies. She loves the creativity that comes with the short female styles and takes her time.I was so pleased that I booked my next appointment before I left. Would highly recommend Breclyn.The salon is trendy and everyone was extremely pleasant. Women with experience and no drama if you know what I mean.

    Breklyn is my stylist. I was a walk in and she was available. How very fortunate for me. She immediately styled my hair exactly as I described, making adjustments based on her knowledge but only after first respectfully describing in detail what she thought would look nice and why! Wow!     Darla is the best! I have difficult hair to cut, super straight & thick and every cut shows. With Darlas experience and expertise she knows just what to do. Im one of those difficult customers, Im nice but a challenge.Im constantly changing something, asking for more. Darla takes great care of me and my fickle ways. Ive always felt listened to and never felt anything but joy being there. Everyone is super nice and friendly. Thank goodness for Darla, we all know how important our hairdresser is to us!

    The service is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The environment is relaxing, clean, and beautiful. The stylists are fantastic, and the products are to die for. One of the best qualities of this place is their willingness to listen to you. It doesnt seem like too much to ask from a stylist, but I cant tell you how many times Ive wasted my breath telling a stylist what kind of look Im going for, just to watch them do whatever it was they wanted to do anyway. Hair on Central CARES about what you want, how you look, and how you feel. Not because they simply want your business, but because their goal is to make you look and feel wonderful.

    I finally found my hair salon!! I relocated to Florida 1.5 years ago and have been struggling to find a hair salon and stylist that I actually like. Hair on Central is such an inviting salon- quaint; clean; vibrant; and the team of people who work there are extremely warm and friendly. I have long, blonde hair and desire my hair to look natural after highlights/lowlights. I came into the salon wanting a style with long layers that would flow better than my previous cut. Milli was my stylist and she did a great job! She not only listened to what I wanted, but also provided her input when I asked (after all- they are the experts!). Milli was a joy to speak with and is extremely talented. The owner of the salon was there as well. She made sure to introduce herself and made me feel very welcomed. They offer you a drink when you first come in and they even followed up with a phone call a week later to ensure I liked my color and cut and if they could do anything further to please let them know. You can tell they put the customer first and are most concerned that you get what you want.

    Wanted to update my review to include a recommendation for HOCs hair extension service. Ive always had thin hair and tried everything to try to infuse more volume and get more lift and body. Darla recently recommended that hair extensions might work for me. I was hesitant because Ive heard that they take a long time to do and require a lot of maintenance. Thanks to new product/technique the installation was fairly quick and I absolutley LOVE the results. I not only have more volume, but also a little extra length that allows me to style both up and down with fabulous results!!Ive been going to Darla at Hair on Central since they opened over a year ago. I have never been happier with my hair, both with cut and color! Darla is a fantastic stylist. She always listens to what I want to do with my hair and makes helpful recommendations when she sees there can be improvements. The space is fun and products are fabulous. Highly recommend!

    I’m excited to share the great experience I get with my hairdresser Brecklynn ! I have very long hair that I usually get colored and cut. Not everyone can do long hair , Brecklynn takes her time to listen to her clients so she understands what look you are trying to achieve. She is a perfectionist she also educates her client on the best way to style and care for your hair. She is very busy and manages her time well.     These woman are fantastic. I stumbled upon Hair on Central on accident, as a walk-in circa 2010, and I have not been anywhere else since. I would refer anyone to Hair on Central...most of my friends also frequent the salon. My mother and sister from New York wait to get their hair done when they come to visit.I have very VERY thick and curly hair and have never had anyone be able to manage my hair as well as this establishment. These stylist take pride in there work and are always constantly learning and establishing new techniques to satisfy their patrons.Cheryal always ALWAYS does my hair beyond my expectations. She is so well versed in all dimensions of hair. I have been blonde, black, brown, low lights, highlights, keratin treatments, short and long hair and she has perfected all of the above. She always follows up to make sure that I am happy with my cut, style, or color.Never have I been to a salon that I have felt so welcomed and invited the owner Darla pays such attention to detail and the place is immaculate. The trendy space in DTSP makes you feel like you are in a NYC Salon with out paying NYC Salon prices.I recommend!! :-)

I cant say enough about the cut she gave me, plus her amazing personality. She really knows how to give a presission cut! Shop is clean and all the girls seemed so friendly. Great location
