Cristin has done my hair twice now. Not all stylists do vivids, let alone do them well and Cristin made my hair absolutely gorgeous! I have found my hair girl! Plus I absolutely love that this is a LGBT+ friendly space. Both times I was in Cristin’s chair for HOURS and we just chatted like we were old friends. 10/10 recommend.

I have lived in St Pete for 5 years and have tried many hair stylists looking for The ONE. I found her!! Cristin is great! I have had a couple appointments and each one is better. She is incredibly talented with both color and cuts. I would definitely recommend her trying her out before she is completely full, I am sure she will be impossible to get in to before long. Cristin at Finley & Phillips is awesome! Went in with a super brassy balayage/all over highlights and she understood exactly what I wanted. She lightened me up, got a much cooler color tone and gave my hair great dimension. She also has curly hair herself so understood my curly girl struggles. She is excellent at what she does!

Wow! 5/5 stars isnt enough. I love my long hair and am picky about who I let cut it but Steve Stones at Finley & Phillips Hair Salon exceeded my expectations! This was my first time at this hair salon and I am so glad to have found it. Phil was my stylist, what an amazing talent. I showed him pictures of what I wanted - soft pixie cut with a little color work to touch up my roots to hide the little gray that I have and some foil work to add depth/dimension to highlight the cute hair style he gave me. I absolutely love it and will be back, a hidden gem! I highly recommend!!

I had my first appointment with Cristin and she was amazing! Truly one of the best stylists I’ve had. I’ve never had highlights done that look so natural, effortlessly blended with my natural color and sun kissed. I’ve gotten full highlights on-and-off for years and often times when I go somewhere else, it ends up more ashy and icy instead of golden and buttery, which is what I prefer on myself; but she did exactly what I wanted + more!! I found this salon, specifically Cristin, on Instagram in my search for a stylist that could do a color correction and vibrant hair coloring. My teenage daughter had recently gone to another salon and they did not deliver - to say the least. I reached out to Cristin directly and explained our situation and what we were looking for - along with pictures of my daughters hair and a reference of what she wanted. She explained the process in detail of what would need to be done to achieve the look that my daughter was wanting and was patient with all of my questions!During the appointment with Cristin, she again explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. We all chatted the whole time as if we were old friends. She was super friendly, warm, and made my daughter feel very comfortable.Her hair turned out even better than we expected thanks to Cristins knowledge about the process and products! My daughter absolutely loves it! We are so happy with the results and will definitely be scheduling with Cristin for all future hair services!

First day!!! She is an artist. An artist whom listens to what your vision is and works with you to create it. Plus she’s a joy to spend those ‘hours’ with as are Paul & Phil-the owners and their other stylists who bring spectacular styling, smiles and service to this St. Pete secret styling must. It’s always been challenging to find someone who knows how to blend my unforgiving, fine, straight hair. Cristin always takes her time and does a great job blending my layers to look natural. It’s a relief to know I can always count on a great haircut and color from Cristin!

I just had a fantastic cut and color with Steve and couldn’t be happier! This was my first time at the salon, and it couldn’t have gone any better. I explained to Steve the look I was going for and asked for his suggestions/recommendations. After hearing his recommendations, I decided to trust his 30 years of experience … and I’m so glad I did! And trust me, that’s not something I do on my first visit to a stylist; but with Steve, I felt he knew what he was doing and wouldn’t steer me wrong. Phil Reed at Finley and Philips has been the ONLY person I have trusted to do my hair for the past 6 years. He is an amazing stylist with great range in his skills. He has colored, highlighted and cut my hair without any issues or missed appointments, again for 6 years! The salon is clean, friendly, and relaxing. They are quick to greet you, offer you a beverage, plenty of reading materials that are up to date (no 3 year old magazines here), and they have even changed the music for me when I wasnt feeling what they were playing. I have never had to wait for more than 5 min and that is only when I show up early. I am very comfortable in the salon. This salon caters to Women, Men, Teens, and Children. I would not only recommend Phil but I would recommend any of the stylists in the salon. Beyond my personal experiences I am in awe of Phils business model of training and developing young or entry level talent so that they can become as great as he is. GO HERE you wont be disappointed. I know other reviews say otherwise but that was one experience and I am writing this about at least 6 visits a year for the last 6 years.

Last week on Monday afternoon, I was frantically looking for a place to get a haircut, as I had a big surgery Tuesday morning. I called F&P at about 6:30pm (they are open until 8pm) and Steve picked up and said he could take me at 7. I was thrilled as Id called at least 15 other salons with no luck but Steve likely moved around his own schedule to accommodate me! Steve was cheerful, fun and did a great job on my hair. I would definitely recommend him! He also gave my boyfriend and I some great dinner recommendations which we enjoyed.

Finley and Phillips is the most awesome place. These guys are professional and experts at what they do. Also, the atmosphere is great. I have been going to Paul for several years now and have never been disappointed. I receive a ton of compliments on they way he foils my hair. He is a master at highlighting and cutting. They might not do super trending things but they have other stylist who can do the trendy stuff. If you want an amazing cut, color or highlight- this is the place to go. Also, both are super nice - if you go once you will keep going back. Highly recommend.

For the last 8 years, this is the only place I will get my hair cut. My wife brought me to a salon before our wedding in September 2007, thats when I met Phil and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else since. Im sure I have probably been to a few dozen places for hair cuts in my life before meeting Phil and it was such a significantly different experience. Hes just the greatest. Ive been able to grow my hair long and then cut it back short if needed throughout the years and hes always made me happy and made my hair look awesome while trying a bunch of different styles. I swear there was a point I couldnt understand why so many people started complementing me on my hair, it was bizarre, but Phil is the reason why. Its really obvious that Steve knows exactly what hes doing. I was nervous about getting highlights for the first time but they turned out amazing and he even fixed my previous cut without taking off any length since Ive been trying to grow it out. Cant recommend enough!
