    I moved to Florida 3 years ago and it took me a long time to find someone I could trust to keep up with my blonde hair. I found Shelia and NEVER LOOKED BACK! She kills it every time. I dont have to tell her what I want ever, so just knows. She is the BEST! If you are a blonde and cant find anyone, she is your girl.

    Additional review 1/16/25:I saw Sheila several times while my regular hair stylist, Haley, was on maternity leave. Sheila did an EXTRAORDINARY job with my (tricky!) transition from brunette back to blond. She listened to what I said and implemented it, without damaging my hair in the process. She was honest with me about how light and neutral we could safely go during each appointment, which was important to me because I wanted to protect my hair. I’m VERY picky, and Sheila rose the challenge, which speaks volume about her talent with hair AND working with clients. I highly recommend Sheila if you’re in need of a top tier hair stylist!Original review in 2022:Haley is everything I want in a stylist: talented, respectful of my wishes while getting creative to fulfill them and very personable.     I had the pleasure of visiting Revolution 9 Salon recently, and I must say, Frank provided one of the best consultations Ive had in a long time. He really took the time to understand my hair needs and offered valuable advice. The blowout he gave me left my hair looking healthy with incredibly fullness and bounce. I couldnt be happier with the results! Definitely recommend Revolution 9 Salon for top-notch service and expertise.

    Visiting Number 9 Salon and meeting Marlo was the best thing that could have happened to me. She is a spectacular and charismatic person who will recommend the best for you, and you can feel secure in her hands. The haircut she gave me was incredible, and her kindness was exceptional.     Lindsey colored and cut my hair, and did an amazing job. I told her that she she could color my hair whatever blonde color that she recommended. I m so glad I let her, the color she chose looks better than the blonde color I had.it. I was having trouble explaining how I wanted my hair cut, and she was able to figure it out and cut it how I was wantimg it. I really like it.     I am beyond grateful I was told to go see Joshua at Number 9 Salon!!! Ridiculously enough, since moving to Florida 4 years ago, I would fly home just to get my hair cut by my stylist I had been with the last 15 years. Needless to say, I’m picky when it comes to my hair. I’m so excited to say I finally found a new home salon! The salon itself is exceptionally inviting and delightfully refreshing. My stylist Joshua was professional and uber detailed. He was thorough and it was apparent he wanted to provide quality. Before he did anything he asked me specifically what I was looking for and then reiterated everything back to me to make sure we were on the same page. The owner, Charlotte, is beyond hospitable and so very kind! The owner and staff have all been there for decades … I’ll let that speak for itself. Thank you, Joshua and Charlotte, for being so fantastic and such genuinely great human beings! I appreciate you both!

    Facility is clean, chique, and staff is very inviting and friendly. The rest is about Jo Spata who cut and styled my hair today: Not only is Jo incredibly talented, he listens, is attentive, and checks in throughout the entire process. He has a great eye and knew exactly how to translate what I was looking for into the prettiest haircut Ive ever gotten in my life. I will absolutely be back and I will be recommending him to everyone!

    I love this salon! 😍I wrote in with a very specific idea using the consultation form on the website. The owner, Frank, contacted me and we set up a plan to get the hair of my dreams! I absolutely loved my cut by Frank and it’s hands down one of the best professional hair cuts I’ve ever had. Ashley colored my hair and was so precise with each detail, making sure every strand of my hair was expertly colored. I left with not only BOLD and unique hair, but healthy hair too. My hair was not damaged from intense coloring and it felt soo soft. You can tell the products they use are high quality, much like the training and expertise these experts have. I highly recommend anyone who wants a high quality hair transformation to go to Number 9 salon.

    All I can do is RAVE about my latest experience at Number 9 Salon! Located off 4th street near downtown St Pete, the location is cute, chic & tucked away- not to mention reasonably priced. Ive seen Jamie several times now & its the best stylist interaction Ive ever had. Ive been hesitant to bleach & cut my hair for about a year now due to previously damaged hair from another salon & I felt extremely comfortable & confident in her chair. She walked me through the process, explained what she was doing & why (its always nice to be informed during your service!). Im in love with my hair & this is the first time in forever Ive felt that. Thank you Jamie Tirado for a WONDERFUL salon visit as always.

    Where do I begin! I drive from South Tampa to see Jerry every seven weeks for color/cut/extensions. There are plenty of salons in Tampa but nothing like Number 9. From the minute you walk in, Charlotte is the sweetest gal & always accommodating! She definitely runs the show there and has been more than willing to lend a hand when I need to reschedule, pick-up product during Covid or whatever the circumstance may be. Can’t say enough about Jerry and his PATIENCE, aside from his perfect color & extension install. I am that customer that ask 500 questions and curious about every little detail. I was one of his first extensions clients, so we’ve been through it all together! He is always willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you’re 110% happy with your final look! The salon is clean, organized & offers the best products for your hair. They are seriously like family & you’re crazy to go anywhere else. They even gave me a sweet card after a death in my family this summer🤍Billy has also cut my hair a couple of times & he’s super nice!

    Yesterday was my wedding day and Im so incredibly glad I chose Salon 9 to style my hair. Last week, Jake did a wonderful job with my highlights and yesterday, Jerry did an amazingly pretty job on my hair. I left feeling like a princess and that really made my day even more perfect. These stylists are excellent at what they do and care about their clients. Cant recommend enough.

    Love this salon! Great location, friendly employees, and I appreciate that I can book appointments using their app whenever I need to. Jamie is a wonderful stylist. Not only does she do a great job with my cuts but she’s been warm and welcoming from our first meeting.     Being new to the area; it took me a while to feel confident enough to have a new stylist do my hair. After extensive research, I decided to go with Number 9 Salon and the receptionist suggested, Joshua, based on my needs. Best. Decision. Ever. Joshua is extremely talented and knowledgable; he has the special ability to take all the pictures you saved for inspiration and make it reality. Great listener, great conversation, amazing hair.     I had a great cut at Number 9 Salon. My hair is very thick and neither straight not curly. They did a great job taming my mane and it looked and felt great. The cut lasted and grew out well too. Its a good looking, clean environment with modern decor and friendly staff. All around great experience.

    Number9 Salon is the best! They are efficient, responsive, kind, and timely! I have never waited on an appointment time and they are great about sending reminder calls. My hair stylist is Alex, and she is the most amazing. She is the first person who has cut my curly hair correctly, in my lifetime!

    I tried this place on a whim being new to the area, and WOW, I could not have been more impressed. My stylist Jamie is the best stylist I’ve ever had! She is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable in what she does. She helped my lighten my hair while helping me to keep it healthy. I can’t recommend her enough!     Ive been getting my hair cut by Jerry here for a few years, and hes always done a fantastic job. Hes very attentive and gives me the exact cut and style Im looking for. I was so happy with his consistent work that I recently booked him to style my hair for my wedding, and it turned out wonderfully. He did a trial run with me to understand the exact style I was aiming for and to determine what the best method of curling my hair would be to ensure that it lasted the entire wedding. The day of the wedding he was on time and provided awesome service to myself and my bridesmaids, and my hair held a beautiful curl for hours longer than it normally does. I would highly recommend Jerry and Salon 9 for regular hair cuts and styling or for a wedding!

    Had my first appointment at this salon last Friday and saw David. HE WAS AMAZING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. First I have blonde somewhat damaged hair from years of coloring and hair extensions he was super patient with my multiple questions and concerns. He also advised me to do a treatment with my color which Im always skeptical of because Ive tried just about everything, but weeks later my hair still feels super soft and the color looks great. I have been to multiple salons since moving to St. Pete and this is the first time I have felt really confident in my hairstylist and walked out with hair that was perfect. In all, this Salon knows what they are doing and would highly recommend David.

    Love this salon! Ive been going to Jo S for three years and he always does a great job on my hair (long, thick hair). I tried other stylists after I moved out of the area and no one compared so I make the 30-40 minute drive down to Number 9. Its a chill salon with its own vibe and personality and everyone has always been very nice.

    Honestly, hands down, the best hair salon in the county! I live in a neighboring county 50 min away and I still drive to St. Pete to get my hair done. I wont even THINK of going anywhere else! Ive had the pleasure of having my hair done by multiple stylists, Jo, Michelle, Jake, Jerry, and David. Each and every time I was more than pleased with the results. I even flew in my daughter from CA to have her hair done specifically by Jo! The receptionists are all very friendly and eager to help. Ive never had a bad experience here and will continue to refer friends and family to this salon!!

    I have been a patron of Number 9 Salon for about 6 or 7 years now. It is a place that never lets you down. Always clean and everyone is very friendly. My original reason for going there was the convenience factor due to their late hours; however, the people are what have kept me coming back. My favorite stylist there is Billy, he is a spectacular stylist and is always welcoming.

    Ive been a client at Number 9 for 4 years. Ive only dealt with three stylists...the one I had for a year and loved, one they recommended and I didnt care for (her attitude...styling skills were fine), and now Jesse for the passed 3 years. Jesse is AMAZING. I was sad when my original stylist left but so happy to have found Jesse.Its important to note this is a teaching salon. They have different levels of stylists. You get what you pay for in most cases, in my opinion. I pay top dollar for my haircuts and color but I also choose to see a Master Stylist and I have never once walked out unhappy. In fact, at this point when I come in for cut or color I just let Jesse do what she thinks is best. Im extremely low maintenance when it comes to my hair and she always manages to get me beautiful tones that dont require touch up every few weeks.

    David P. was amazing!! He took the time to review the hairstyle I wanted, offered his advice (which I took and was glad i did!) and explained every step of the process. I explained to him everytime Ive gotten my hair colored, it always ends up brassy. He recommended a toner and let me tell you, he is a magician with the hair color.... it looks amazing!! He then showed me how to style my hair like the picture. I would 1000% recommend David and am happy to finally find a stylist in St. Pete after being here for 4 years!

    I have been a client several times at this salon and I am always pleased with the atmosphere, the staff and there service that I receive. This recent visit was really fun because I donated hair to locks of love.     After living 25 years in a north shore suburb of Chicago, I moved to St. Petersburg. Finding the right stylist and colorist Is often a challenge. Being a redhead, a color that is not the easiest color to define or achieve, I was apprehensive to change salons. The choice was not mine as a flight to Chicago every six weeks was not going to happen! Up until this month, Id been going to another very reputable salon and have had a year of working toward just the right tone of red. My stylist/colorist was capable and so very conscientious and determined to make me happy. On a whim, I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried another salon as my stylist was unavailable. DISASTER!!! I needed a quick fix and my stylist/colorist was out of town. I popped into Salon Number 9 without an appointment and was warmly greeted by two receptionists. Alexandra (Alex) was recommended by the receptionists and Alex spent nearly An hour consult with me! I felt confident that she would do her utmost to make me happy with my hair. I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived Alex made a point of telling me that shed been thinking long and hard about my hair since the day we met! She concurred with another master designer regarding how to best achieve the color I had prior to moving to Florida. As well, she discussed what she felt my cut needed in order for it to fall just the way I wanted. Rush, she did not. It was as though I was her SOLE client! In the end, I had one of my best cuts and I AM now a redhead! Alex is talented and patient and truly understands the importance of listening! Its apparent that she cares and aims to please. This is vital in a customer service industry. I encourage you to make an appointment with Alexandra (Alex.)

    In town on vacation and needed a wash/blow out/curl. I was able to get an appointment with Josh and was super pleased. (Also receptionist was super pleasant and kind when booking appointment!)My hair isn’t easy but Josh nailed i (and I saved him from going to the gym after work!) He was also super chill and made me feel comfortable which is huge because of my anxiety. I’ll definitely be back when I visit St. Pete again!

    I recently moved to St.Pete & could not be happier to have stumbled upon this salon and my stylist, Jerry B. I showed Jerry a picture of my hair goals and he not only fixed the awful haircut I had gotten at another salon but gave me a perfect bayalage and has helped me maintain my desired tones and brightness in between months by applying a toner and giving me a nice little cut to keep my hair healthy. My next visit, I will be going a little bit lighter for the summer and cannot tell you just how glad I am to have found a stylist who can help me not only achieve the look I am after but who can also help me take great care of my hair at the same time.     I love getting my hair cut by Jo at Number9. When I moved from Denver after 20 years, I was afraid I wouldnt be able to find the same level of quality, but my fears were unfounded. It is easy to make appointments online, and their front desk staff is friendly and as knowledgeable about their products as the stylists.

    First time customer at Number9 salon and I was lucky enough to get Michele as my stylist. I went too long without a haircut and was feeling drab, came out with a definite spring in my step. She matched the photo of a haircut I found on Pinterest exactly as shown. After the cut, she showed me how to style my hair. Michele used both scissors and razor to texturize my hair. The Salon was clean, edgy and in the trendy section of NE St. Pete. Another plus: Michele honored my appointment time - no waiting! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

    Jake was amazing! I was in town on vacation and I got an appointment for the very next day. He gave me a great haircut and took a lot of time to be sure it was perfect. Maybe Ill have to travel to Florida for haircuts from now on! The staff was great too. They gave me a list of vegetarian restaurants in the area. I tried one and it was fantastic. Full service salon.

    The atmosphere is upscale, but still friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff is always on point and I will never go anywhere else for my hair.     I found Number9 Salon by Googling salons in my new neighborhood and saw they had great reviews. Ive been getting my haircut every two weeks by Morgan for the past year and a half and I love it.The salon is clean and very inviting with friendly stylist and staff. Pricing is modest for the quality of service you receive and I highly recommend Morgan and Number9 Salon.

    Great Salon -- very hip with friendly and helpful staff. Nikita is my go-to girl for mens cut and style (even though her specialty is womens color and style). Only reason for 4 instead fo 5 stars is that it would be nice if the website allowed bookings more than 2 weeks in advance as Nikita is always listed as no appointment times available so I always have to call to set an appointment.

    Poor Frank. I came to him after someone else butchered my hair and he did a fabulous job fixing the damage and making it look great. The salon is clean and the staff is professional. Overall, a fabulous experience and I wouldnt consider going anywhere else!

    David P. was a fantastic stylist. He did a really thorough consult and we communicated really well to achieve the look I was going for. David is thorough, professional, and really skilled. Its clear that he has a lot of experience and he is able to leverage it to achieve the look you want. On top of everything, he walked me through every step of the process and explained what he was going to which put me at ease and reassured me that we were on the right path. I would absolutely recommend David.As an aside, I would encourage doing a little bit of homework on the look you want to achieve and bring photos of that look and be ready to communicate those things to your stylist. You have to be involved and vocal about what you want because it will help your stylist help you.

    I won a gift card to this salon at a wellness event and planned on using it for a haircut/blow out for a wedding. I didn’t find a time that worked the day of the wedding so I decided to go the day before and do a color and cut. I walked in and felt welcomed and comfortable, I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’d never been there. Jayla was my hair stylist and she was really knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions I had. I loved how she went into detail with the coloring and cut and it felt like she really took her time. I have never loved my hair this much and may even end up switching salons(one that I’ve been going to for 4+ years). Thoroughly impressed with the price point and the quality! Thank you Jayla!
