    Jeannie did such an INCREDIBLE job! I went in with an inspo picture and left looking EXACTLY like it! And the wash before was TOP TIER! Never had anyone ever give such a relaxing & thorough wash and head/scalp massage... it was so hard not to fall asleep in the wash chair šŸ˜‚The most adorable salon & increbible customer service all around, even the receptionist (wish i had got her name). You will feel very at home & comfortable the whole time. Exceeded my expectations!! I wish I had found her & this salon sooneršŸ¤©

    Iā€™m new to Florida, my 15 year old Granddaughter starts school soon and she wanted new highlights and a cut. My daughter who has lived here for 10 years, recommended Carlieā€™s. So when I called and got an appointment within days of our arrival, I was elated. The day of the appointment my granddaughter got a text saying the shop had closed because of the tropical storm going through and the heavy rain and thunderstorms that came with it. By the time Kennedy saw the text, we were already parked in front of the salon! Kennedy then text back that we were sitting in front of the shop, and her stylist Callie, replied back to just sit tight she didnā€™t mind driving back to the shop, even though the shop was closed. Needless to say, Callie made our young teenager who was filled with new school anxieties anyway, feel much better, and happy, while knowing GODā€™s favor was in this. Callie was wonderful, and such a GODSEND! She arrived a few minutes later and she soon was asking what Kenn wanted. Callie worked steady and said blonde hair was her thingā€¦so we knew we were in good hands. When Callie was done, both Kennedy and I were very happy with the result. Thank you so much to Carly for employing such a wonderful, caring, nice, talented stylist as Callie. Thank you Callie so much! I sing your praises girl!!šŸ’–šŸ™. We will definitely be back.     New to the area and found Carlieā€™s to be a cozy place to be pampered! Callie is just wonderful! Sheā€™s very professional, attentive and personable. She did a great job, twice now, with my shoulder length layered blonde hair and truly listens as how I like it cut and styled. Highlights and low lights with root color to achieve a totally natural look. I came out of the salon with my hair so soft I just had to purchase the products that she used. Love the peacock decoration of the salon as well! Would recommend!

    I cannot express how beyond happy I am that I found Callie and how incredibly talented she is with hair. She is hands down the best hairdresser I have ever had, and Iā€™ve had many. Being a natural brunette, I always get nervous when I want to go back to blonde and often end up disappointed when I bring in a picture, only to have it not turn out the way I hoped. Callie did even better than the picture I showed her, and I will only ever go to her now because every time I see her, I leave feeling so happy, and my hair looks and feels incredible. She takes her time, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and making them feel amazing! To make it even better, she is so sweet and easy to talk to, and I always love coming to see her to catch up and chat! I wish I could give her 10 stars! The best decision you can make is going to see Callie if you want your hair to look incredibleā€”trust me, you will be so happy you did!

    I have been going to Carlieā€™s for years! I have an ā€œedgy typeā€ of style and I wanted to find someone who specializes in vivid colors and color blending. I found Ashley Garcia-Diaz and she had been my go to ever since 2019 when I found her. She is a DREAM to work with and is incredibly knowledgeable about color and color theory. She has been able to make so many of my hair dreams come true. She also informed me that she is constantly continuing her education attending workshops and conventions to learn more about her profession to bring the best products and quality care to her clients. She even teaches some of these workshops! If you are looking for a hair stylist that genuinely knows what theyā€™re doing, is extremely professional and knowledgeable and takes the most pride in what they do, she is your girl!

    I first came to Carlies on a recommendation, and I am so happy I did. My stylist, Callie, did an phenomenal job, giving me exactly what I was after, even though shed never cut my hair before, and I think that speaks volumes about her talents.     Its always risky when needing a new stylist but I had a great experience! Thankfully there was a cancellation and I got in last minute for a cut and color when its honestly been way too long since Ive gotten one. Ashley G. took great care of me. She mixed a custom color and it came out so perfect. Best cut Ive gotten in a while too. Very comfortable atmosphere and the entire staff is super sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend! Will be back!

    I absolutely love this salon. Odaliz was my stylist and I cannot begin to tell you what an incredibly amazing job she did. I have never had so much attention to detain in what I was wanting from a stylist before! Her blend with high lights and low lights was absolutely perfect. Odaliz nailed the colors I wanted to a T! She also did a trim and it was exactly what I wanted. It can be had to cut my hair with the body and wave it has but she did a perfect job! I will not be letting anyone ever touch my hair again except for Odaliz!!

    Iā€™ve been going to Ashley for a year now and she has done such an amazing job getting my hair to where I wanted it while making sure my hair stays healthy. Having naturally dark hair and transitioning to a blonde balayage can be long process. Trusting someone with my hair has always been hard for me, but knowing the amount of experience Ashley has and after seeing some of her previous work it was easy for me to trust her.     I go to Callie religiously for maintaining my blonde! She is AMAZING! I trust no one else with my hair. I have very corse and long hair that tangles easily and I have always hated going to the hairdresser. But Callie out does herself every time and makes my experience so enjoyable and pain free.     This is the only salon that I trust to properly deal with my hair. Their extensive knowledge and skill are truly unmatched. I started out at their Peachland location which has been opened several years, but I go to their new Toledo Blade location as well and several stylists for all my vivid colors, blonding, and haircuts. The peacock decor and colors keep me occupied for hours while my color is being done. Iā€™m growing my hair out and theyā€™re really great about giving me the haircut I want even though I probably need more than a few inches off lol. The stylists are very friendly and straight to the point about what they do and do not recommend. Thereā€™s always a pretty face at the front desk checking me in and making sure Iā€™m comfortable while I wait on my stylist. Itā€™s just the perfect salon atmosphere you see in the movies! I highly recommend itā€™s always an experience!

    I donā€™t let people touch my hair Iā€™ve had the same hair stylist since 2012, I havenā€™t had my hair touched since July 2022, after I moved here I got so scared to let someone else touch my hair, needless to say I was in dire need and finally caved.     Very awesome and beautifully styled salon. I just get my hair dyed darker all over, so nothing too fancy but the hair stylists are great! They have been doing hair for YEARS, and in various locations throughout the country. They will also give you real hair tips and educate you on how to take care of your hair without following all the trends on social media. Great experience and so glad I found them!

    Carlies Cutting Edge provides personal service that meets the needs of modern style. Ive been going to Carlies since 2014. The beautiful shop hosts expert stylists and colorists. They use quality hair care products and provide you with the knowledge of the latest cuts and color. They cut all ages and do beautiful event updos! I take the health of my hair seriously and my schedule is taken into consideration when booking appointments. The staff are very accommodating when I need a special time. Carlie runs 2 amazing businesses in both Port Charlotte and North Port, FL!

    Carlies Cutting Edge Salon is a top performing hair studio that offers a vast array of hair services. This location in North Port is conveniently located right off of Tamiami Trail 41 on Toledo Blade. There is ample parking. Their stylists can create the latest in hair styles and give a precision cut. They use some of the most healthy products on my hair. I also have had my hair colored there as well and love the highlights and lowlights created with a custom color. Your comfort is of great concern by the salon from the shampoo to drying step. They also ask if you would like something to drink. Going the extra mile for customer service and professional hair styling you wont be disappointed with Carlies Cutting Edge Salon.

    UPDATE: Carlies Salon reached out to me and offered to perform a correction that wouldnt damage my hair this soon after the first visit. The new stylist gave me full highlights and achieved the initial color I had been looking for. She also touched up the cut so it matched all around. I greatly appreciated the effort and kindness they exhibited to provide great service!Initial Review:I had a hair cut and full highlights done at the Peachland location once before and it was a decent experience, so I returned to try this location (Toledo Blade) after it opened as it is closer to my home. Unfortunately, it did not turn out the same way. The staff was nice and the colorist/stylist I worked with was very friendly, but I didnt leave with what I had wanted. I came in to have full blonde highlights and a simple blunt haircut with about an inch taken off. My hair is naturally dark blonde and I had previous white blonde highlights that had grown out. I explained that I still wanted a more white blonde color versus the golden/honey look. I also explained that I would like the regrowth to look as natural as it could - usually this has been achieved with the use of toner. Perhaps I should have used a photo to make my wishes clearer, but the colorist seemed to understand what I wanted, so I didnt. During the process she asked to use a root shadow to help with the natural regrowth blending; Id never heard of it but it sounded reasonable after she explained its use. After it was done and styled, I honestly didnt notice any difference from when I came in. I expressed to her that I had expected it to be lighter and she said the roots were darker due to the shadow and that it will fade with washing. She also took photos under the bright ring light and said it was lighter in those - I will not be under ring lights on a daily basis and I didnt notice a difference. Its been a few days and washes later and theres no difference in my hair color from when I went there, it actually looks darker. Its definitely not blonder, but it is shorter. However, the hair cut was simple and I still notice that it doesnt match length all the way around. I absolutely dont mind paying for quality but this DEFINITELY wasnt worth the cost ($300+) or time (4 hrs). 3/5 for hair cut, 1/5 for color.
