I decided to treat myself to some pampering. I love to try new places, and Unvarnished impressed me with it’s emphasis on cleanliness and safe foot and hand care. You will definitely get individualized treatment here, with special care being taken to the condition of your feet, toenails, and fingernails. The salon is bright and clean, with an emphasis on a spa like feel. No vibrating massage chairs here, but the pedicure chair is super comfy. This is a waterless pedicure procedure, again emphasizing sanitary conditions. The owner of the salon was my technician, and she is a knowledgeable nail technician. She gave me lots of advice of things to do with my hands and feet at home, between visits. I felt completely comfortable here, and will most definitely return. Prices are higher than many ordinary nail places, but the difference in service and care is well worth it. Give it a try, and ask for Philomena. After one visit I feel like I have a new friend.

Very nice people. As a man I was apprehensive because I just dont do pedicures. Ive never been to one of these places, but I have to say Debra made me feel right at home. This place was referred to me because I get ingrown toenails. I think Ill be going back every other month. Thank you for the nice experience! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place. The staff and owner Phyllis was amazing. The most comfortable pedicure Ive ever had. Their services are amazing. I get a pedicure Ive a month at home. Wish they were in Ohio. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop. NOTE.... They cater to many health issues and disabilities

I came in for an express manicure and pedicure with buff (no polish).The technicians are skilled, lovely and enthusiastic about their trade. I was impressed with the level of care and attention to detail they gave to reach part of my service. They really paid attention to my cuticles, nail shape, and the condition of my nail before perfectly applying my polish.Their commitment to a well trained staff and providing a safe service (sterilized tools and disposable files etc) is going to keep me coming back.

Quiet, pleasant atmosphere with professional service. My experience was excellent, and I will definitely return. No footbath to spread nasty infections among clients! The lotions were wonderful, too. Highly recommend that you give them a try.

I have numb feet and legs from a back operation. I have to keep my toenails short or they catch in my compression socks. I was referred to Phyllis by a friend. What a great experience! I had both a Pedicure and manicure. Perfect, no pain, no blood. Ill be returning!

I just had the most satisfying pedicure ever! Unvarnished Hand and Foot Company is the cleanest, freindliest, and most relaxing spa in Venice. You must give them a try. No dirty foot baths. Hospital grade sterilized instruments. One use only tools. What an absolute delight! Phyllis actually listened to what i asked for and delivered an outstanding service. I will be back. Thankyou!

I am so happy to have found a place for pedicures that prides themselves on sterilization. They don’t rely on the little box with an ultraviolet light, they use a real autoclave to sterilize their instruments. After getting a horrible fungus from a pedicure “bath” that took a year+ to medically get rid of, this is the only kind of place I’ll ever go to again. They may be a few more dollars on procedures, but weigh that against the pain and cost of medical bills that those “germ pools” caused me and I’ll choose a place like this that’s concerned about sterilization!! So happy they opened here on the Island!!
