    I had Grace as my stylist 🩵 She was amazing! She gave me exactly what I wanted! This the best cut and highlight I have ever gotten! She may be a level one stylist but she is SO GOOD and was trained very well! Plus, we had the most amazing, enjoyable conversation! I hate spending a lot of money on my hair. The Avenue was reasonable and Grace is definitely worth going back for ☺️

    I visited the salon for the first time for a consultation. The salon is very nice, clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and explained to me thoroughly the do ‘s and don’ts of what I wanted to accomplish. They were very professional and honest. I scheduled my second appointment for service. I was received both times by a friendly staff. The owner was so sweet. Greg was my stylist. He understood exactly what I wanted to accomplish. He was so gentle, professional, very detailed and did an excellent job. The best service I have received in a salon since I moved to Florida. I have long curly hair and am transitioning to grey. He did baby lights to soften gray demarcation, also did cut and style. I even received a welcome gift. I had a great experience and look forward to more in the near future.

    My hair was in the worst condition ever, having been neglected from not knowing where to go after leaving my previous salon. Everyone who works at the salon embodies an upbeat, friendly vibe so I felt cheerful when I arrived. Dean is a genius! I cant believe he understood what I needed and exceeded my expectations with the new color and style. I feel like the best version of myself!

    My experience with Grace was absolutely phenomenal. I went in for a wash, blowdry and style. My hair looked amazing. Grace also showed me how to refresh so the style lasts longer. A major plus, her personality is fun and made me feel very comfortable.I received so many compliments. I do like dry bar in UTC Sarasota but Grace being in Venice is a huge win.

    My hair was a MESS! I was pregnant and with hair that was brassy, major roots and fried. I did a google search of Bayalage Venice, came across Avenues Instagram page and called the salon. It was suggested to schedule with Ashely and there isnt a regret. Ashley and Avenue Hair Design Co is amazing. Ashley fixed my hair and a year later my hair is healthier and stronger. With regular scheduled visits and having a stylist that is passionate, patient, knowledgeable (shes a level 5 stylist), and INCREDIBLE my hair is transformed. This is the best salon, hands down. Everyone at Avenue Hair Design Co will make you feel like a celebrity and your hair will be happy 😊

    I started seeing Nicolle this summer and she is awesome! I recently moved here from the northeast and had been with my stylist for over a decade so I was so nervous about trying someone new. In addition to being an absolute doll, Nicolle does a great job with my hair. I have long, thick hair and she has done my cut, color and highlights. She listens to what you want and she is always on time!

    Miranda is an amazing stylist. She has worked wonders for my curly hair as she is a Diva Curl specialist. I suggest that if you have curly hair, you make an appointment with her or the other fabulous stylists at the salon. The entire staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable!     Very nice salon! My first visit and Steven did an AWESOME job on my hair (root touch-up and foils). He is patient, knowledgeable, professional and fun! I look forward to my next visit (Steven may be awesome but even he can’t turn water into wine and, thus, cannot keep my grey hairs from growing back… but he sure does a great job of covering them up). Highly recommend the salon and Steven.

    Just moved to the Venice area and found this cute salon. I booked with Miranda and from the moment I got there, she was great and very inviting. She gave me options for my hair and then we got started. She answered all of my questions in detail and was very sweet. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!!!

    I have had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and colored several times. Each visit I have been pleased with the services. I have had color, cut and treatments. If you want a salon that listens to its clients this is your place. Claire the owner is very sweet and I enjoy getting to talk with her. I would name the stylist there however there are too many great ones. My favorite are Miranda and Courtney. I have seen several clients that had there hair done and it looks beautiful.

    Today I was a new client. What a breath of fresh air from the my initial phone call to make an appointment to the thank you bag full of gifts when I left. I had Kristen as my stylist and she was amazing. She worked with information from my former stylist in New York to create beautiful highlights and a perfect haircut. Kristen was enjoyable and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. She is meticulous about using LOTS of hairclips to keep all the sections of hair in a neat and organized manner both for cutting and blow drying! The salon was clean and well managed. It is very roomy with lots of space between clients. The coloring stations are separate from the cutting stations. The sink area is well designed with comfortable chairs and the stylist washes from behind you instead of leaning over you.

    I’ve started going to Avenue Hair design and Dean has been doing my hair. He has helped me accomplish every hair goal I had envisioned for myself when it comes to bleaching my hair.     STEVEN is the best dimensional hair specialist!! Not only did he listen, HE PROVIDED! He did a wonderful job on my hair. I had been coloring my hair on my own for a few years now and decided it was time to see a professional. Steven got me in quickly and was able to achieve the look I was going for with foil highlights and lowlights. He is very knowledgeable and professional on every level. And a pretty amazing HAIR-apist (therapist) too. Thank you Steven for all you did and helping me to look my best. I look 10 years younger now!

    If your looking for somewhere to go to get a fresh new look, etc then look no further. Ashley does an amazing job. Shes extremely knowledgeable about colors and different types of hair. The salon doesnt smell of chemicals at all and it has a very relaxing environment. I highly recommend going here. I have not found any other salons in the area like it or that can do as great of a job.

    First, what a beautiful Salon. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted warmly, offered a beverage and asked to take a seat while waiting for your stylist. The salon is really stylishly designed with spacious stations, lots of white and chrome giving it a very bright and airy feel. My stylist was Nicholle, a very friendly woman who spent time listening to what I wanted done. What a great experience. Nicholle is fantastic, I loved my haircut and my experience. My elderly mother also loved my haircut, and as she was looking for a new hairdresser she had me make her an appointment. Little did I know that when you as a client bring a new client you get rewarded! Yeah! Love this place. My mum also loves this place. We both highly recommend. I also want to add, when I made my appointment they sent a text to confirm as well as a telephone call a day prior to my appointment. All very professional. Price is comparable to other high end salons.

    Overall, I love this salon so much! Everyone is always very polite and it’s such a great atmosphere, not to mention the stunning design of the place. Ever since I’ve first gone to Lali for my hair, she is the only person that has touched it and every single time, just when I think she can’t get any better, she proves me wrong and truly outdoes herself. Such a talented stylist and so sweet! If you’re like me and have had some trust issues with hair from previous experiences, go see her!     I have had appointments every 5 weeks since I moved to Venice full-time in November 2020 and have been very pleased with my hair coloring and haircuts. I usually schedule with Miranda and continue to be pleased with the care and services that I receive. Miranda is pleasant, knowledgeable and patient with my requests and needs. Also, I appreciate the product recommendations that the stylists have made for my hair type. All-in-all, this is a very professional and well run salon with an emphasis on customer service and comfort. I highly recommend them to anyone who seriously cares about the quality of your hair care.

    This was my first time at Avenue, I have short hair and it is not always easy to find someone who can cut short hair and make it look good and not frumpy. Kristen cut and colored my hair and I am very happy with both the cut and color. She took the time to listen to me and i have a really bad collick on the back of my head and my new cut makes it easy to hide. I just did it for the first time myself and it was easy to style and looks great. Ive scheduled my next appt. The salon was clean and very impressive. Front desk staff were pleasant. Cost was comparable to other places I have been.

    I had an appointment with Dean and this was my first time there. Dean welcomed me with a smile. He was absolutely amazing! I haven’t had my hair done in some time and was nervous.     This salon is amazing! I booked my appointment after my sister had her hair colored by Kristy and was very pleased with the results. From the moment I meant Kristy I knew I was in good hands. She listened to what I wanted and took time to ask questions about my hair and how I style it. I walked out feeling fabulous! Love my new style and booked my next appointment.     Looking for a new stylist after moving to Venice I researched and came across reviews for Avenue Hair DesignCo. The reviews were very positive and the pics of the stylist work sold me. I called and gave details about my fine hair, and grown out color and mentioned that I was a little nervous as I left a stylist back home that Id been with for many years. The kind woman on the phone scheduled me with who she thought would fit my needs and hair type. Kristin did an amazing job with her advice and truly helped me understand how to make my fine, thinning hair look more healthy. She also suggested a hair treatment which in turn did wonders for my hair creating volume and giving it a healthy glow. She was honest, detailed and listened to me. Her personality was authentic, fun, and very down to earth. It was a beautiful atmosphere and everyone was very kind and friendly. Kristin is now my stylist and I already have my 8 week return appointment booked! I am very grateful to have found her and to even have the ability to have this service during these unprecedented times. Thank you ladies you are all amazing!

    Miranda was my angel today. I had to cut my hair because of awful damage caused by past hairstylists, it was very emotional for me after growing it out for so long and Miranda took the time and patience to listen to my sob story and then do exactly what I asked. Not what she wanted or thought I should do. She made suggestions based on my situation and hair and catered to me and my hair with the upmost sweetness. I am 100% sold on this salon and Miranda. Also an amazing shout-out to their front desk Lovely (I cant recall her name) who has excellent customer service skills and made the appointment happen for me even though they were tightly booked ❤️

    I have very dry curly hair. I put my hair through a lot of chaos lately. Not hard to do where we live. The amount of chlorine and salt on my already dry, brittle hair made me want to buzz it all off with the way it was looking. Miranda did her magic and my curls are back!     WOW! I had a terrific experience at Avenue today. The salon is simply beautiful, upscale and clean. I was a little nervous but Nicolle listened to what I was interested in having done and she added beautiful layers to my hair and color that complimented my skin tone. She is a talented stylist and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Since this was my first visit, I was handed a small welcome gift bag upon check out that included some goodies and a few coupons. What a lovely touch. I am looking forward to going back to Avenue again :-).

    I absolutely love Avenue Hair Design. Ashley has been doing my hair for almost a year now and she does a wonderful job every time! I have never loved my hair so much. I came to her with long black hair and she has turned it into a beautiful Carmel that I never thought would be possible for my hair! I always look forward to my appointment and my day of relaxation there. Not only is she an amazing stylist but she also saved my eyebrows after I almost ruined them trying to do them myself!!! It’s safe to say I will never touch them again and she will have to do them for me for the rest of my life lol. I can honestly say if you go to Avenue Hair Design you will not be disappointed.

    My hair stylist is Yana she is the best! We do highlights and lowlights and I always get many compliments on my blonde. If your looking for a non-basic blonde I highly recommend you see her! I’ve been to a couple of stylist in the past and I’ve never gotten as much compliments on my hair as I do now. She knows what she’s doing, you’ll be in good hands!!!! Love her❤️❤️❤️

    I recently had my first appointment at this salon with Miranda. She was absolutely amazing. I had not been to a salon in over a year due to Covid, and she was able to do more with my hair in ONE appointment than others have been able to accomplish in years.She emailed with me prior to my appointment to understand my concerns regarding safety procedures. As soon as I arrived she sat down with me to go over PRECISELY what I hoped to accomplish, and did IT ALL. An amazing feat.I have EXTREMELY thick hair and typically take twice as long as most clients, but she did not scare easily:) She took her time and made sure everything was done properly, no matter how long she had to spend with me. I truly appreciated her professionalism and time spent.I was SO happy with the result and have recommended Miranda, and this salon to multiple people since my appointment.You will not be disappointed!

    I had a great experience here and will be going back again. They were great at accommodating when I wanted to come in. I went into my appointment wanting a certain haircut and the hairstylist Yana was able to explain to me how to apply the style with my type hair. She was very friendly and kind.     Am beyond pleased with my experience at Avenue. The place is gorgeous, clean and the staff are so kind and professional! I went in for a haircut and was paired with Kristen, who I was told is great with short hair-- and they were so right! She gave me the best short haircut Ive had in a long time and I am so grateful for it. If you have short hair or are venturing to short hair, I highly recommend Kristen.     Avenue hair design has always been a business that I trust and that I know Im going to get exactly what I want when I book an appointment here. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone and they cared about my needs as a customer. This Salon also has gone above and beyond following the CDC guidelines and making sure the safety of their customers along with providing amazing Salon Style was their top priority. Kristie was The Stylist I had an appointment with and was more than accommodating to my demands when I should have booked for a longer time. My hair looks amazing and now Im ready to go on vacation and not have to worry about my roots showing. I will definitely be coming back to the salon and look forward to having amazing hair color done.

    The talent at this salon is unmatched. I was living in Venice for a short period of time and found it just by chance. Nicolle sat down with me and listened to what I was looking for (my highlights needed some TLC and I also wanted to add some layers). The time in the chair flew by and I left feeling lighter, more put together and so satisfied. I went back again right before having to move because I was so bummed that I would also be leaving Nicolle! The salon is gorgeous, the stylists are friendly, and I will absolutely be back anytime I visit Venice.

    I went to see Ashley for my first deva curl cut. She had a lot of great information and tips to help me control my curls. Loved the outcome! My hair hasnt felt this fresh, light and beautiful in eons. Highly recommend. All the staff was kind and the salon was very clean.

    My daughter, Angelina, has curly hair. Every time I take her to get her hair done the stylist wants to flat iron her hair. NO!!! She likes her curls! I found Ashley at Avenue Hair Design. She was amazing!!! She took her time to not just cut her hair but also explain how to take care of it. I could not be happier. I also want to mention how clean and welcoming the salon was.     Im back to Venice and back in my favorite salon. This time I had a root touch-up, clear glaze, and a Deva Cut with Ashley. Love the new décor. The receptionist welcomed me and were friendly and professional. I was also served a cup of tea. The entire staff are friendly and helpful. Ashley is extremely talented at her craft. She took the time to listen to me and explain her plan of action. My hair came out soft with lovely bouncy curls and plenty of shine. I highly recommend Ashley and Avenue Hair Design Co.

    Kelley Thayer is wonderful! She gave me the best haircut Ive had in years. So easy to style. I followed up the next week with highlights that are just what I wanted. She and the other employees at Avenue are professional, but make clients feel at ease and obviously enjoy helping them look their best. Unfortunately, I will be returning to NC next week, but will be back next January for three months! My husband joked that he would fly me down to Venice for haircuts. It would definitely be worth it!

    This place is the best! I went to Avenue to have my hair done for my wedding. It was such a wonderful and stress-free morning getting pampered. Heather and Tiffany worked together to do the hair and makeup of my bridal party and everyone looked perfect and was so happy with their end results. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for wedding hair...or to just get their hair cut, colored, or styled. Heather, the wedding coordinator, is so friendly and skilled...she instantly made me feel confident that the day-of would go smoothly and that the end product would be exactly what I want. She is also great with curls! She took the explanation of what I envisioned for my hair, what my wedding theme was, and all the tid-bits she gathered through conversation about my likes and dislikes to create a bridal hairdo that was more than I even imagined. I felt confident as she worked with my natural curls and the hairdo stayed perfectly in place all day and all night. Tiffany was very friendly and did a great job listening to the bridesmaids to make their own unique styles. It is professional, elegant, comfortable, and the entire staff is friendly!     Made my appt to see Lali for a haircut and full balayage. Told her I wanted a butterfly haircut and Lali did not disappoint. Then I asked her to do my hair just like a video on her Instagram page and again I obtained exactly what I wanted.     I would have given 5 stars because Of my haircut and curly hair tips from Ashley. I only gave 4 stars because of their business practices. At checkout I was shown the products that they washed and styled my hair with. I chose to purchase the styling product because I loved what it did with my curls while in the salon. I made one stop on my way home and realized that the product didn’t perform at all by the time I got home. My hair was full of frizz. I immediately called the salon and told them what happened and would like to return the product and Lexi, Ashley’s assistant, said she had to ask. All employees should know the the return policy, first of all. She then told me yes so I drove over and when I walked in Ashley said Lexi made a mistake and I could only exchange. I was in retail management for 30 years for great companies and something like this would never happen. I did the exchange but was not happy about this. Like I said I am very happy with my haircut and will most likely see Ashley again.

    It needs to be said first that everyone here has an incredibly infectious energy and passion for their craft. At no point did I ever get the sense somebody was just there to do their job, every single person working was absolutely invested in their results. More than once, other stylists came by to observe and enjoy the process with me. Also, they have drinks. Not what I was expecting at all.I had the privilege of working with Lali, and the attention to detail and skill she put on display for me was nothing short of fantastic.     I came in for a trim with Courtney! I had a curly cut 6 months prior and wasn’t too happy with all the uneven layers. Courtney took the time to listen and really understood that I didn’t want much length taken off! She just cleaned up all the ragged edges and gave me blunt ends…which look so much thicker!     After a year of trying to find the right hair stylist in Venice, I went to Avenue Hair for the first time at the recommendation of a friend and this is definitely my new place. I went in with damaged, badly colored hair and met with Lali (Lalita). She gave me some ideas on what she could do for this visit and how we could build off of that next time to get closer to the look I wanted. I left there with the most beautiful hair I have had in a very long time.     You feel like a queen from the minute you walk in the door. As a snow bird I was looking for someone who could match my color here exactly & Tiffany did just that....and more.     I had a very good experience. I called after having a terrible haircut at a different salon hoping they had time to fix it that day. The scheduled me right away for later that day and saved my hair lol. My stylist was Courtney and she fixed some really awful chopped blunt and uneven layers without having to take any drastic length off and blended it in so well I can hardly tell I even had a bad haircut to begin with.     I returned to Avenue Salon after trying other Stylist. I am very picky about my hair and usually the Stylist stops listening and just goes ahead with what They believe I need done. This just does not work for me or my thick course hair. I called got an appointment with Dean. He was Fabulous to work with he looked at all my pictures he listened about my hair he listened how I needed it foiled how I needed it colored the style that I wear it in which is his multiple styles and he took great time and patience with me I was totally blown away with my results.     I love the energy of this place. The new color bar is fantastic. Stephanie has been my colorist and hair artist for some time. I have dreads, but shes helped me through many color changes and getting me ready for big art shows. I need to stand out but be professional.     Finally went and got my hair cut and styled, for the first time in about 4 months due to covid, decided to try a new salon. Went to Avenue Hair Design Co in Venice, Fl. Was happy with the blowout when she did it, had Courtney, she also said to come back within 7 days, cause when you redo it at home is styled different then at salon, sooooooo went back and got it retweaked and I really love it!!     Came in because I had decided doing my hair myself at home was the right way to go. To nobodys surprise it definitely was not. Felt completely welcome and like a guest upon first arriving. When meeting my stylist Ashley I was immediately put at ease and in no way felt judged for my diy haircolor/bleach disaster. She made sure to take the time to get to know what my vision for my hair was and talked me through the whole process from start to finish to make sure I was aware and comfortable with what she was doing to my hair. All the stylist really seem to enjoy what they do and who they work with and the atmosphere is unlike any other salon Ive been to. Thank you Ashley and thank you to the rest of the team!

    Just found this salon and I love it and the staff I have met so far. Taylor cut my hair. I am very picky because I had long, very damaged hair and was willing to part with it (for now) to get my hair back in shape. I chose a style that Taylor cut PERFECTLY!. Love...Love! ≧◔◡◔≦I highly recommend for the skill, atmosphere, product they use and prices are very reasonable! I am officially a Avenue Hair Design fan!

    Taylor has done my hair in the past and it always turned out amazing. More recently she did a microblading service on my eyebrows. Once again the results are fantastic and she made the whole process easy and comfortable. I no longer have to fill in my brows with makeup, just wake up and they look great!

    Ive been going to Avenue Hair Design since 2012. Kristin does my hair and she is a miracle worker. I have baby fine hair and it is straight. I let her go with whatever she wants to do. I like the fact that she is not afraid to do what she wants to so with my hair. I always leave feeling fabulous and receive many compliments on my hair.

    Went to Kelly for a deva cut several weeks ago. She does a great job. The stylists Ive always gone to over the years always cut my hair like its straight which just doesnt work. Kelly took her time and showed me lots of tips and tricks. She didnt cut too much off but I think this was because it was my 1st time, she doesnt know my hair that well yet and almost everywhere else is gone they Always cut way too much off. Not to mention the cut was bad from my last stylist that I had been going to for 8 yrs so we need to let it grow out so she can even it all out.Kelly spent just shy of 2 hrs working and teaching me about how to deal with my hair. Never has anyone given me that much time attention and advice !I look forward to going to her again in June ( wish it wasnt so far off 😔) I will eventually have her color or highlight my hair, mostly to hide the grey. Its not easy dealing with curly hair and highlights coming out fabulous is a challenge but one I think she can handle.The shop is a nice size and roomy. They even offer a glass of wine ( that I would definely have if I wasnt driving an hour to get there!).Dont let the initial price of your 1st deva cut scare you away. Its just a little bit more than a cut with someone else who has no clue what they are doing when it comes to curly hair. The following cuts drop down in price and trust me for the time and knowledge you get from Kelly you are getting your moneys worth!

    Going to get my hair cut was always a bad experience until I went to Taylor Caldwell even made a trip from Georgia before I moved down to have my hair fixed because another salon was careless . Taylor is very professional and does an amazing job every time I go . It is worth the time and money spent . Clean environment always and everyone is always smiling ! I highly recommend!     My favorite hair dresser!!! ...When I moved to the area three years ago, I was looking for a hairdresser whos specialized in cutting curls... thats how I found Patti, she is a certified trainer of deva curl...Patti does the best hairstyles and also color!!!She is great with her skills, customer service and she makes the time fly by no matter how long it takes...I love her work and I will not change to any other hair dresser...I give her 5 stars because my hair is healthy and pretty. I definitely recommend her if you are looking for the best hairdresser in town.

    Went to Shannon for a consultation on a color cut from elsewhere. She sat with me, we set up an appointment and a game plan. Great girl and true professional .Went for my first cut and color yesterday and could not be happier. Shanon spent time with me and never missed a beat.Also took my daughter in for a cut for her high school graduatuon she was seen by Kelly , who was a wealth of information for my daughter who is starting SCTI in the fall for cosmetology and did a fantastic cut. Made my daughter even more excited about her career choice and even more excited to someday work for such an amazing establishment .Class all the way!!! Thank you. Prices are fair for such a venue .     After years of frustration with just not quite right haircuts, I decided to embrace my wavy hair and try a DevaCut. My research led me to Avenue Hair Design in Venice, FL.Last week I had my first DevaCut with Kelly Nicole and OMG! I feel like this is the very best haircut I have ever had. I am 64, so I have had many haircuts in my life. I was a bit nervous that I would not be able to correctly use the recommended products to reproduce the curls at home, on my own, after washing my hair, but Holy Cow! My hair is the happiest it has been in a very long time. My hair is so soft and the curls & waves have definition and a nice bounce. The shape is great from all angles. It even looks good when I wake up in the morning. I can’t wait to see how my hair grows out a bit, since I do want to wear it in a longer length.Everyone at the salon was very nice. When I arrived, I received a small goodie bag with my name on it. I felt very welcome and comfortable. The salon was homey, spacious, clean and nicely laid out. The background music was soft and relaxing. Kelly was very nice and explained everything about curly hair, the Deva method of cutting, the types of products, product ingredients and tools/methods recommended for use in maintaining my curly hair. Kelly is an excellent teacher. She also asked me lots of questions about my hair and what my hair goals were, to be sure that we were both on the same page, before the first snip. Two days after my haircut I received a courtesy call from the salon to check if I was happy with my haircut and if I had any questions. What a great experience this has been. I am so glad I found Avenue Hair Design and Kelly Nicole! Thank you!

    I had my first consultation with Heather a few weeks ago to discuss the Devacut for my curly hair and to go lighter in color to blend with my grey roots (black to caramel at first). Heather took the time to layout reasonable expectations on where we could get my hair and how many times wed need to color before I could reach my goal. She also fully explained the Devacut and her recommendations on length to get it healthy.My first Devacut and color was completed yesterday and I am so pleased with the results its hard to put in to words. My cut is so cute and does NOT have the triangle that curly girls are always worried about when going a little shorter. I appreciate Heather taking the time to walk me through the Devacurl products and show me how I should be using them (Id been using for a few years but not correctly!). The color took so well and lightened me significantly, much more than either of us expected for the first round. She toned it to a beautiful caramel and Im thrilled! My husband actually told me how pretty it is so it has to look good for a man to notice! LOL!Im so excited to continue on my journey with Heather and would recommend her to any curly girl or anyone who wants someone to color their hair while laying out realistic expectations and giving you beautiful results.Thank you Heather! :)

    I’m a curly girl and Ashley is one of few (maybe the only?) Deva Curl artists in the area. If you are a curly girl you MUST use this technique - it totally accentuates the curl. Once you have it done you will not stop! And their new location is gorgeous!
