    I was in desperate need of a hair cut while on my vacation. After researching several places I finally decided to try Curt at Nuovo. The salon was nice and clean with friendly staff. Curt had a lot of experience and did a great job cutting some framing layers. He got some of the weight off but still left plenty of length like I wanted! Most stylist I have been to are overwhelmed by my hair thickness, but it was not a problem here. I will go back the next time Im in town!

    I cannot be any happier with my new stylish Bob Haircut. Marissa has been so kind and attentive to my concerns on length and also concerns on my damaged hair. My new haircut, hi-lites and style is just what I wanted. Thanks to Marissa I get many compliments and enjoy being stylish once again.

    I am so happy that I have found my new color stylist, Alex! It’s always hard to find your stylists when you move into a new area, and it’s usually a trial and error. But I just got lucked out with Alex. He is highly skilled, cares about each person’s needs and concerns, and advises what’s best for each. I love that I can just sit back and relax knowing my hair is in a good hand. ✨🙏🏼

    I have been exceptionally happy with my hair color and style. Bella is so expert at color and she takes time to listen. My highlights and lowlights give my fine hair a lot of dimension and shine. I know I am in good hands with Bella. She also gives the most incredible neck and scalp massage... the best I have ever experienced. I really enjoy all the nice people at the First Street location. I also get regular manicures and pedicures from Camy. She gives a beautiful mani and pedi and is a lovely, kind person. I enjoy her company. My only comment for mani and pedi is that the pedicure station isnt really comfortable and the manicure station is so exposed to the salon entrance. Ideally both areas could be updated and made more spa-like and more comfortable.

    I had a great experience with Marissa. I got a cut and conditioning treatment. I felt very comfortable with her, she addressed my concerns, and did what I asked. This was my first trip to a salon in over 20 years. I had just cut and combed out 10 year old dreadlocks and my hair was damaged. She was knowledgeable and friendly and Im quite happy with my hair. I highly recommend her.

    Great salon—very professional staff and comfortable atmosphere. Love Isabella! She does a wonderful job with shampoo and heavenly scalp massage and her cut and styling can’t be beat! Highly recommend Nuovo

    I have going to Marissa for awhile and we have gone through different colors and styles, some I wasnt sure about at first but i ended up loving the finished product. Shes a true artist !!Christy, who works the front desk, she is so friendly and helpful. She makes the salon experience start the moment you walk in the door.First Street is my choice of Nuovo Salon because of theses 2!!

    Tracie is the best! I went to her because of all the great reviews everyone else had left and couldnt be happier. She did a great cut and really had an eye for what could be improved, and then found time on her calendar (I was leaving town) for a highlight, which came out beautifully. Personally, shes a joy to talk to and very easy to be around. All around wonderful experience. - Nancy Collier

    Stylist Tracie is amazing! She had originally fixed a mistake in my hair from another stylist and I was so impressed that I have stuck with her since! She has a great vision for what I want and my blonde hair has never been so healthy!! She is the most talented stylist I have ever had, and I have paid 3xs as much at other salons. Thank you Tracie for your amazing work!!

    Its a very pretty salon with a great location. The staff is very friendly. Ashley cut my hair and I love the cut. She did it just as I asked. I have long hair and some stylists always cut more because they want to - Ashley did not do this.

    My hair was badly messed up and Cameron was a dream. She was so nice and she made me feel so much better about an awful situation. She fixed my hair in no time flat and corrected the color mistakes. She is wonderful and her work and attitude are beautiful.

    I had a great salon experience. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair that’s hard to work with. My cut and style was both quick, and it was the only time I didn’t get my hair pulled like crazy and leave with my scalp in pain like any other time I’ve gotten hair cuts! My hair turned out exactly as I described it to Joylinn (sp? Sorry!) And it was much more affordable than my previous salon. I didn’t expect to be this happy cause I’m used to being just kinda “meh” about either the style and all the money spent. This was for once worth it. I’ll definitely be back!

    New to town. My hair was in terrible condition, dry, brittle and unruly. David fixed all that and with an intensive condition and fabulous cut, my hair is on the road to recovery! His assistant gave an excellent scalp massage to boot! Will definitely return!

    JoyLynn at 1st Street location is so talented and wonderful. She listens to what I want and delivers every time. Her input is always spot on. Highlights, lowlights, cut, color, straight, curly—-she can do it all. It’s hard to find a good stylist especially when you move to a new town, and I found a gold mine with JoyLynn!Now during COVID, the salon is taking many measures to ensure health and safety: extra masks available, individually wrapped robes, stations more than 6ft apart, sanitizing after every client, Plexiglass at check-in/out, nothing shareable in waiting area (magazines or reading materials), staggered scheduling for stylists and clients, and more. I felt VERY comfortable during my last visit.

    I look at the walls, the colors of the walls, the big letter of the word Nuovo and the arrangement of the cutting stations and the table for hair coloring .. . .it all spells great artistic sense and caring. Being there, for me, is a trip to a sophisticated place, like Im in my hometown of Manhattan. Im in love with James because he cares about being the best. And he is.
