The shave cave is a great place for an haircut or beard trim. I have tried a few different places around town and this one is my favorite. I always go to John, who is the only barber I have trusted to trim my handlebar mustache. I am an Army Vet and so is John so that is a plus for me for him to be my go to barber. All the barbers here are amazing at what they do. I also love that they offer you a beer as well. They do validate parking in the garage due to parking always being a pain downtown.

Just left your amazing Shave Cave. Humberto did a fantastic job trimming and shaping my beard. I do think however that he should change his name to the Beard Magician. I stopped to shop afterwards and 3 complete strangers commented on how they liked my beard. When I got home my wife was thrilled. I think we may have a date night later. Thanks Humberto !

Great service and staff. This was my third time at the barbershop and each time has been great! The barbers are all cool and the stylist nailed the look I wanted every time. One time I was stuck inside due to a downpour and got a complimentary beer from them as I waited it out. They always offer you a drink when you come in as well, usually get water but that one time I needed a beer lol

Was a pleasurable first experience at the Shave Cave and would be interested to go back. If I could give Britt 10 stars I would, but Google only allows me to hand out 5 stars.I was slightly hesitant spending as much on a haircut, but the experience was worth it. This isn’t your normal chain haircut experience, it was a premium haircut and beard trim. If you’re on the fence like I was, get off the fence and get over to The Shave Cave, you’ll be glad you did. Would recommend and suggest booking with Britt, you’ll be glad you did.

After a year of trying many locations in the St. Petersburg area, I have finally found the ideal place for a mens cut. The attention to detail is excellent, and for my hair the use of scissors and a final cleanup with a straight razor are perfect. They have a great staff and I use Humberto who is a real pro. Came here yesterday for the first time. Sat with master barber JJ. Great atmosphere. You can get wine, beer, or sodas before your cut. It was quick and neat. Already made an appointment for March. The bathroom was clean. The shop was clean as well. I got a 3 on top and a high bald fade. You also get shampooed and a straight razor neck shave with warm foam. You can also make appointments online you just have to connect a debit/credit card to secure it. Great place! I cant wait to come back. Also, they have a cute dog that hangs out there, thats always a plus.

So I havent been to a barbershop in probably 30 years since I shave my head. My kids paid for me to go here for the full deal - beard trim, manicure, pedicure... This place is great. I got there late due to traffic but they accommodated me anyway. Chris did a quick, efficient job of my beard, trimming it up beautifully, but the star of the show was Melody. She treated me like I was the only one in the shop (I wasnt) and took the time to explain everything and make me feel comfortable. Plus, beer! Im not a spa person but I will definitely be back.

Called in for a hot towel straight razor shave. I arrived a little early so had a beer in their on-site bar. After a while John called me for my Shave, I advised I was a first-timer, so he explained every detail during the shave.I loved every minute, John was polite, helpful and very good. Afterwards my skin felt so smooth, I dont remember the last time my skin felt this good.

THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR.I booked a haircut online and chose the first barber I saw. When I walked in, the barber I selected (Britt) asked me if I was planning to keep my mullet. When I said yes, Britt recommended me to another barber in the shop who Britt stated was “Really good at mullets”.The fact that instead of accepting my business, Britt recommended me to someone else in the shop that is a better fit for my hairstyle, says everything you need to know about this shop.Their priority is to have your hair looking as good as possible when you leave. The shoppe is great, but a Master Barber like Tanner makes it an experience. I’ve been a client of his for a few years now, and I’ve seen some other barbers come and go. Though Tanner is a staple!You’ll want to pre book your appointment however. A few years ago you could just walk in and see this guy, though now the word is out! He’s just about booked solid most days! You might have to wait a day or two to see him but he’s worth the wait. Ya can’t rush quality.PS: Get there a little early and enjoy a free beer and the company of the shoppe dog Jazzie!

Im usually a tightwad when it comes to barber shops but this place was worth the splurge. I arrived early and settled into a comfortable chair with a complimentary cold beer, then had the pleasure of having a haircut and hot towel shave with Lamar. He took great care with the blade (bringing in new ones twice so theyd be sharp), and with the hot towels and shaving oil, etc., made it an experience rather than a chore. Five stars to him and to the shop; Ill be back.

The consistently excellent cuts are one thing but where he goes above and beyond is his openness to my questions about hair, hairstyles, hair products, you name it. 5 stars… I’d add more stars if I could. This is my local go-to barber shop. The shop is clean, has a bar, video games, and TV’s for while you wait (which is not long). Dorian is my main barber for beard trims & shaping but if he’s booked I see Jonathan. They are both truly masters of their craft. What I like most is that there is no competition between them. If one is booked, I can go to the other and they are just happy to see me in a chair and getting great service. That’s good vibes. It’s also super cool that The Shave Cave is the official barber shop of the Tampa Bay Rowdies. COYR!Walk-ins are an option but hard to get so make an appointment. It’s easy to book online. Been coming here for three years - it was the first & only place I have had my haircut since moving to St. Pete. Shawn was my go-to guy until he moved & now I see Scott. He does an awesome job! Max does a great job of keeping the shop up and has an awesome team. Highly recommend getting your haircut here - just make sure to make a reservation in advance...they tend to book up quickly.

I love this place! I moved here from San Diego in 2019 and could not seem to find the perfect barbershop or barber until I found the Shave Cave. There I had the opportunity to meet Britt. Britt is an amazing barber with a high attention to detail. not to mention she is a former Marine :-). Max is the owner and he runs a tight ship with the latest software technology for scheduling and a very attentive staff. I highly recommend this place and especially Britt!

Today is January 22nd 2024 and Ive been coming to the shave cave for about a year now. I usually get my hair buzzed off as I ammostly bald and a beard trim. The charge up until today has been $20 for the beard trim and $20 for the buzz cut.. well they just upped the price $24 for the buzz cut in 28 for the beard trim so I paid $62 with tip and unfortunately this is going to be my last visit. It went from $40 to $52. And for what? I was in there for 30 minutes max. Very disappointed otherwise they give this place five stars.Update: fresh fits and fades on Central avenue charges $30 for a beard trim and a buzz cut, Thats more like it.

I have been looking for a place to cut my hair in the 2 years I have been living here and this place has everything you could be looking for.They are mostly clean, mostly careful and mostly gentle. And notice the mostly. I have my hair cutted by several of the barbers there (Brit, Dorian and other more) and they are very cool, the haircuts are on point and they always want to deliver what you have in mind.However, I just had an issue with a new barber Jonathan (I am not sure if he was working there before, I did not see him). I show him pic of what I wanted (what I got previously at the same place) and then:- He added so much water to my head that I could not open my eyes, and he did not dry the water with a towel, he was using his fingers on my eyes and nose (totally unprofessional and unexpected after having the service by the other people there).- He did not asked how I wanted the form from behind my head, he just did it and that is it.- Then, I told him if he could make the cut shorter from the sides and he started cutting everywhere, and when I told him that he was doing to much he said You wanted it short, dont you?. What kind of answer is that?- When I asked him to wash my hair (which is included, you can look to their website) he just added water and scratched a little (not even shampoo). Which is super weird after the service delivered by all the other people before (again).- And at the end, he did not offer to apply any wax or something to my hair, I had to do it myself and, when I did, he did not wait and told me to move on because he needed to attend somebody else.It was a superweird experience and I needed to write it down. I leave reviews when I have experienced both good and bad sides of a place.

Aside from being one of the best fade specialists in St Pete, Tanner makes the shop that much better with his personality & offers great conversation.After moving from NYC, it was tough for me to trust a go-to barber. I just had another great experience at The Shave Cave today. Been a regular client of Britt for basically a year now and Ive enjoyed the professionalism of the crew there. I can appreciate everything they do to keep a clean and safe work environment. You can tell that all the employees care about what they do.Id also like to address one of the 1-star reviews (which was written by a guy who created several accounts to leave more than one 1-star review)....This gentleman, reviewing under the google account names, Marco Maltese, Lyfted Beats, California427 LLC, and Marko Wake booked himself for a 1:45pm clean-up appointment which normally only takes about 15 minutes at most. After showing up over 10 minutes late without calling, he asked for additional services that normally wouldnt fit into the time slot he reserved even if he had showed up on time. His barber STILL quickly gave him the clean-up that he had booked despite him showing up late. After receiving great service, this guy shouted at the staff and then posted reviews that do not reflect the environment or professionalism of this business.I dont normally leave reviews, good or bad - but after seeing this person try to push business away I felt obligated to say something. This man not only disrespected the hard-working employees at The Shave Cave but also the people who had appointments booked after him who were able to show up on time. The owner of the business even tried to call and make things better with him only to be sent to voicemail.Do not let the 1-star reviews fool you. Go in, have your own experience, and Im sure youll be back.

I have been coming to this place for about 3 years now, and refuse to go anywhere else. I have to say, Scotty, my barber, is AMAZING!!! I have had issues with my spine, neck, hips and knees for over 15 years. And it got to the point where I was in pain all of the time. Lost a ton of motion in my hips and couldnt even put pants on without it being painful for me. After seeing Christine the first time, she was able to begin breaking down scar tissue from over 25 years ago and help in ways I never thought imaginable without going through surgery. She has saved me and is HIGHLY recommended. Her knowledge and experience with the human body is something youll never find anywhere else. I began coming twice a month and canceling with other massage therapists since they couldnt do what she has.

Scott is the man! Always does a great job on my beard - clean lines, great razor edge skils and put me on the Tobacco Vanilla beard/face/skin magic cream game - this stuff is on point and gets lots of compliments for its fragrance.The ambience of the place is super chill vibes - great music, sports on the flat screens and always something cold to drink.Come here - its worth it! Just make that reservation quick - this squad deservedly stays booked!

For my birthday, my wife booked me appointments for a beard trim, pedicure, and facial. This was my first pedicure and facial in nearly four decades of life... I WASTED SO MUCH TIME. This was great! Jazmin with the pedicure made my feet feel coated in clouds and 5 years younger. Christine was amazing - every step of the facial was explained and felt great! Felt like I looked a decade younger after the experience. I look forward to booking another appointment next month along with a massage. Definitely check out the mani/pedi, facial, and massage portion of this business!

Best barber ever! We made an appointment with Scott for my boyfriends haircut, and we could never seem to find someone that gets all the small details just right and weve always had a hard time explainging them to barbers. Miley, who answered my call, was also really great at recommending me the perfect barber for his hair type. Thankfully we didnt have to say much and Scott did an amazing job at cleaning up the sides, cutting his hair, styling it, and all so quickly (I think we left in less than 30 minutes?)! The place itself is so so nice, offering free drinks (water, coffee, soda, or one beer/wine), a nice comfy waiting area with chargers and tvs, and pacman/street fighter arcade games (Free!). They also have validated parked right next door, to its immediate left. You could also tell that they keep everything clean, which is extremely important, especially during the pandemic. Its definitely worth it, my boyfriend left so happy with his haircut and loved the experience! Definitely will be going back 😍

Nice place, gave my son a very nice cut. Barbers were on point, took pride in their work and took good care of their guests making sure every detail of your cut is perfect. Only negative- I personally found it expensive, 30$ to buzz my sons head $$$ yea thats a little pricey. There was alot of cool memorabilia & displays but they really all could use a dusting, they power air sprayed the hair off my son, they should blast the whole store with that thing.

This is an amazing upscale modern barbershop that adheres to the old school ideals. very comfortable waiting area that is more like a lounging area. Comfy chairs with charging available. They have a wonderful line of grooming products. I come in every two weeks for cleanups and bread trimming. Make sure to get here early and enjoy a local craft brew and enjoy the game on one of their big screen TVs.

Great haircut and timely service. I made an appointment online and they called the morning of the appointment to confirm. When I arrived, I was offered a drink and had a coffee. They also have beer and water. They also offer snacks. I plan to go back!I would ask for different types of memberships. I would not use the shave portion, but would like a monthly haircut and weekly clean-ups.

$30 for a mens haircut?!?! $18 for a beard trim?!?! Yeah I thought the same thing when I heard about this place. Why spend that type of money on a haircut when there are countless barbers out there?After a year or so of scoffing at the idea of an expensive haircut, and getting subpar to downright terrible haircuts every 3 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and visited The Shave Cave. And OMG! it is amazing. The barbers at The Shave Cave are straight up artists when it comes to working with hair, be it on top of your head or on your face. The quality of the beard trim is what has me a customer for life. The haircuts are perfect as well. No such thing as bad or average.TL;DR: Amazing barbers. Worth every penny. Fantastic ambiance. Beard trim perfection.

Best place I have ever got a cut at and kristen is one bad chick. All around great place teand they all do such a great job.High class but worth every penny. Enjoy a beer of choice from on tap beer brewed at local breweries. Very friendly and clean and the service is out of this world. Like I said worth every penny.When I leave I feel like a new man every time.

Booked an appointment, drove there, spent 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot, and they messed up the appointment and couldnt take me. Mistakes can happen, but the cashier just smiled and wished me a wonderful evening as I left. After I posted a poor review, the owner/manager called the next day - apologizing for the mix up. Though I still havent gotten a haircut here, Ive updated my ranking to 5 star (because of the follow through on their part).

Very relaxing ambiance from the time you walk in the door. Arrived a few minutes early and watched some football on the big screen.When Sarah was ready for me, her professionalism took over. It was simple to make an appointment, I was early and Rob got me right in the chair. I really like that he listened to what I wanted and knew EXACTLY what I was talking about. It was the most relaxing 45 minutes Ive had to myself in a long time. Ive not been this happy with a haircut in years. I think Ill got for the shave next time.

Shave cave is a great spot for any man that wants to freshen up his look in a comfortable environment. When you check-in for your haircut, beard trim, or mani/pedi you are then offered your choice of beverage and get to hang out with the fabulous bulldog that hangs out in-shop. You’ll have a very well-dressed barber come find you and they’ll trim you up right. Buy some sandalwood beard oil if you want to add some shine to your beard!

I started growing my beard out of the blue recently and needed some help getting it under control. Ricardo not only hooked it up with an awesome cut and fade, he showed me how to train it and keep it looking good, too. Ill be going back every 2-3 weeks to keep it fresh!Oh, might as well mention, the place is cool as hell, too! If you ever need to wait for some reason (they do appointments only, so wait times should be minimal), take them up on a beer and watch the monster screen tv while lounging in one of the most comfortable chairs youve ever been in.Yes, I would recommend this place to a friend.
