I originally had my eyebrows done by Veera about 10 years ago. It was a great experience. Veera made me feel very comfortable and made sure the pain was minimal. She made suggestions on shape and color but still made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome. I knew that Veera would do a great job on my eyebrows because I saw her impeccable work on my mother, sister, and friend and I couldn’t be happier with my results, my brows look fantastic. I was most nervous about the possible “pain”, because I’ve never had permanent makeup, but Veera walked me through the process, she told me each step before and as she was doing it, and it helped calm me. Veera made me eyebrows about a year and a half ago - the natural color of my hair with shading. And as she promised, after 3-4 weeks the color became less bright than immediately after the procedure. Two-year update. I was so lucky to find Veera to do my permanent make-up. I first went to see Veera in 2017 as someone struggling with over plucked, thin eyebrows. She was referred to me by a coworker who went to her for her eyebrows and came back with amazing results. Right away, I felt comfortable and confident in her ability to make my eyebrows fabulous.She was very attentive to the specific look I was seeking and reassuring in my doubts and nervousness of it looking fake. Prior to doing a permanent shading, Veera shapes our brows to ensure it is the shape we want, making adjustments as we describe it. Since my initial visit, Ive been back for touch up twice and each time, she has been just as meticulous with my colour touch ups. I was a little nervous about getting my eyebrows done but Im so glad I did! It didnt hurt anymore than waxing or tweezing and I love not having to fill them in everyday. Veera did a great job of shaping my eyebrows and keeping them looking natural. I chose Veera after looking at a lot of places online, just from looking at her before and after photos you can tell that shes very skillful. Obviously for something like this you really want to make sure you find the right person (her prices are a little more than other places but I think this is definitely one of those cases where you get what you pay for). She really takes care of her clients and listens to their needs. I had my eyebrows done last Feb. 22, and I was very nervous at first because I have seen pictures of botched eyebrow tattoo works. But Veera took her time shaping my brows, measuring here and there, and making sure that the shape and color suits my facial features. She also takes her time in explaining how she is going to do the procedure. After 2 hours in her chair, I love the end results. I have been looking into getting my eyebrows done for some time now and finally took the leap and I’m so happy I choose Veera with the important task of fixing my eyebrows! I’ve tried my best to regrow them over the years using castor oil but I realized they’re never going to look exactly the way I want them to. Veera is a wonderful technician and person. I came in for an eyebrow correction to fix the uneven shape and color done by another technician. Veera was extremely patient and meticulous, constantly double-checking her work and taking measurements to make sure my correction would be even. In the end, the shape and color was a major improvement and I was very happy with her work. On top of her work, she is also a very kind person. I arrived at my touch-up appointment 30 minutes late, but she still spent time very carefully perfecting my eyebrows and I never felt rushed. Vera is an Artist and perfectionist. I had my lips, eyebrows and eyeliner done a year ago. Today I intended to have the 12 month shaping touchup and eyebrows tinted. Vera felt the touchup wasnt necessary (saving me that expense). So I just had my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted to cover the grey. I LOVE it. I was so nervous to get my eybrows tattooed but it was something I wanted so badly that I was willing to take the risk. I researched permanent makeup artists in the area and I felt that Veera was the best person for the job. I had no idea what to expect but I felt at ease as soon as I met her. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable about what she does and I could tell she was very confident in her ability to make my eyebrows look as good as they could possibly look. To my surprise, the procedure was pretty much painless and there was minimal discomfort. When she was done and she handed me a mirror to look at my new eyebrows, I never imagined I would be as happy and pleased as I was. Its been a month and I just went back today for my second visit to get my eyebrows retouched. Putting on makeup now takes me about half the time it did before because drawing my eyebrows on every day took so much time and effort. Most importantly, I love the fact that I constantly feel pretty, even without any makeup on, my eyebrows are always done and that makes a huge difference on my face. Please excuse the length of this review, but I wanted to explain how I selected Veera and how I viewed the final results.In short, I would highly recommend Veera, because she is a very skilled and personable artist. She made me feel welcome before our first meeting and after the last touch-up. She took the time to answer all my questions about how she selected and applied the color. She is an easy going person, who takes her work very seriously. I am not expert in permanent makeup by any means, but I was very satisfied with my results.Before selecting Veera I did some research, and here is what I found.Whomever you choose as your artist, make sure this person has several years of experience under the belt. Be cautious of the new artists, especially those who do not have art or makeup background. Many pm classes are offered for the aspiring artists, but these classes are taught (more often than not) by freshly graduated students, who regard themselves as experts. In my opinion, education and certifications are not enough in this line of work – experience matters the most, especially when working on different types of face complexions and skin colors. Veera had 5 years of experience working with young, old, scarred, white, black, thick and thin skin.As another word of caution when selecting your artist, please note how the before and after pictures are taken. They should be like prison mug shots (camera straight on the face), so you can see the symmetry of the work in terms of color, size, and dimension. It is easy to conceal mistakes when the face is slightly turned or, even worse, only one brow is shown. Each brow by itself may have a great arch and color, but they may not mirror each other. Veera’s pictures greatly helped me evaluate her work and I was very pleased with her skills.Once you select your artist, I would recommend coming to the procedure with an open mind. After years of sporting the same eyebrows (in my case they were over plucked in all the directions!), we grow used to the look. A fresh pair of eyes, especially experienced one, may see a different arch suitable for your face. So the first time you pick up the mirror to look at yourself, clear your memory of the old face and go by the first impression. The new look should enhance your face. It will be different, but it will be better. If it is not better, study the eyebrows closely in terms of size, position and color. Then gently suggest a correction to the artist. Veera is very open to corrections. I believe this should be a somewhat team effort. You have been looking at your eyebrows for years, when she comes in and changes them to reflect her vision. As she is working on your face, she becomes accustomed to it and may miss something--she is not a machine after all. Symmetry was very important to me, and together we did it! At the touch-up I was very happy with my new look. I am very glad I picked Veera. :)

Hi there,I recently went to to this place to got my permanent makeup done. It was a WONDERFUL experience. My makeup came out even better than i was expecting it. Didnt feel any pain. The master Veera was so kind and an expert of her job! I have done my permanent makeup couple of times before, but Veera was the best PM expert. And price is reasonable, especially to compare DCs other places. Very clean and organized. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get permanent makeup. I have had my eyebrows done by 2 other professionals. And Veera was willing through my time invested and patience to redo all of the old bad work. I almost cried to have someone so wonderful to help me. I cant praise her enough. So many compliments! Ive since had eyeliner and lips done as well. Again, this is THE ONE youve been looking for. Dont let price be your guide! When you are talking about a tattoo, and permanent, why wouldnt you choose THE BEST ! Please at least have a consultation with her before you make up your mind. You WONT regret this decision! She can do wonders with balancing of your features, and old scars. Look through her extensive display of before and after photos. They are breath taking. Very well worth your time.

My friend suggested me to go here.I always had problem with my eyebrows. They are so light and grow in the different directions.I booked appointment thru website. Has to wait a little longer , because I booked Saturday appointment which is really convenient for the person who works.Veera is professional and she knows what she does.I came there with my own imagine how my eyebrows have to look , she correct me and she was right, the way she draw my eyebrows much better.Procedure took a little less than 2 hours.No pain at all! I was almost sleeping there . After procedure eyebrows had red shade , which is normal , next day it gone.I was concerning my friends or my boyfriend notice it , next day no one can tell I had eyebrows tattoo, I told them I just changed shape and dyed my eyebrows.I like it so much .Highly recommended!!!!

Let me start of with saying that I am 40 years old now. I have been doing permanent makeup since I was 18 years old. I had my eyebrows shaved off and they never grew back properly. I have been to six different artists.First off the pigment always turned out some kind of pink or orange color. They looked brown for the first two weeks but then I would have to go right back to drawing them on. I have even paid for color correction! Never fully satisfied.Eventually, I resulted to hair transplant surgery. I was somewhat satisfied because I now had some hair. However, they had two different people plugging my eyebrows hairs so they ended up in a different shape. Final result, not satisfied!In November, I went to Permanent Makeup & Esthetics. Best descion I EVER made! She even made the point of how the eyebrows will look during the aging process. Went for my touch up the first weekend of January and I am 150% satisfied! I LOVE my eyebrows! The right color and shape! Amazing! I don’t even have to draw my eyebrows on anymore! I will never go to anyone else again. Even if I move, I will fly back to VA.

I found Permanent Makeup and Esthetics after a year of contemplating if I would do the permanent makeup for my eyebrows. I am in my late 20s and have been shading in my eyebrows since a teen. I use to shade in eyebrows all the time when I was younger but lately I have become lazy. I do not wear makeup during work days... just on weekends or for outing but no matter what I always felt insecure about not having eyebrows shaded in. So I would try to shade in before work if I was up to it.Back to my search for permanent makeup... I found very few places in the DC area that have evidence of their work. I live in DC and though there were some listed in DC there were no pictures or reviews specific to PM. Northern Virginia had more options for PM and I had originally went with another location but while still nervous about the procedure because it is my face and because it is a tatoo I kept researching and I came across Permanent Makeup and Esthetics, LLC. The before and after pictures looked spot on of the results I wanted. So I canceled my appointment with other location and made an appointment with Veera. My eyebrows look amazing and I no longer have to shade them in for regular work days. If I am going somewhere special I will shade in for a more dramatic look but the time of process to shade in has increase because I no longer have to create a perfect eyebrow shape.If you are looking to enhance your look with permanent makeup, I highly recommend Veera and I am excited about my results!!
