The service here is a 20/10 !! If I could leave 20 stars, I would! I loved everything about my experience from how easy and clear it was when booking the appointment, navigating through parking, and finding the suite location.She is an angel - heaven sent! Very nice and sweet with the kindest personality. She listens to your concerns with ZERO judgement, create an effective hair care plan for you, and walks you through everything. Open to answer any questions you may have and keeps the brightest smile on her face while doing so.I was so comfortable being there. The suite itself is very clean and cute. She also provides complimentary snacks and refreshments for you. I’m so happy to have found someone to care for my hair as they do their own.I received my first hair botox treatment and I will be back for more! I’ll also leave pictures of the process here in the review. I love how she really took the time to find out about the history of my hair, the products I’ve used/ currently using, and actually closely examined my scalp to show me all the buildup I had around my follicles which I never had a stylist ever do for me before.I have found my forever natural hair care stylist! Thank you, this was the first time I’ve ever been to a natural hair salon where they actually have a conversation with you and explain things thoroughly. I had a lovely experience and my hair feels so light and moisturized. She is truly educating and dismantling myths surrounding natural hair in the black community. I got instant locs for the first time. Took about 8 hours from wash to finish. It does not hurt, my scalp feels clean and not tight. She made me feel so comfortable and she’s so cool and down to earth. Prices are reasonable. I love my hair and will definitely come back! Thank you!

From the beginning with her prompt responses, and a super engaging and thorough consultation, I knew that this young lady was different from the rest here in Miami. It can be difficult to find the complete package in a stylist in this city, but especially for those that specialize in locs: someone professional, highly skilled and knowledgeable at haircare (aka licensed!), great at communicating and customer service, and that isnt charging outrageous prices.Although Ive had instant locs before, I ended up combing them out after 7 years with them. I wanted them again, but was nervous it wouldnt be as good as the first time. Debbie blew me away. She did an even better job than my first instant loc installer, who was also very well trained. I really couldnt believe how great my hair looked right away, and her level of craftmanship was killer. Everyone I know has already been giving all the compliments and asking Who did your hair!? Ive never felt more attractive. (Isnt that what we all want!?)She even finished my hair in record timing. However, the process didnt feel long at all because shes so cool to talk to and makes you feel super comfortable, providing refreshments like tea or mimosas, and giving you the remote control for Netflix and Hulu if you like. We didnt even watch because we talked so much, very easy to get along with and a good listener too.My only -very minor- criticism is she might need a lil pillow for the chair, as long periods in it had my butt going a little numb lol... but it definitely wasnt a dealbreaker at all and it was tolerable with a bit of shifting (plus Im a kinda heavy guy, to be fair).Highly recommend DJ Styles. Excited to visit again for a retwist. I doubt youll find a better stylist in Miami that will get it right the first time, and that wont stress you with unanswered texts or calls and being left on read for days when youve got questions.Last thing: her bookings go fast, so dont wait! But if you have to wait like I did itll be WELL worth it. Trust me.

Hands down one of the best relationships I’ve had with a stylist. She started my locs, and my experience during our consultation was so positive I knew I didn’t want or need to go anywhere else. I can’t imagine a better hair guide, especially for a natural or new hair journey. DJ Styles is a true professional at a time when the beauty industry makes it hard to be one. She continuously educates herself and shares her knowledge and expertise with her clients and colleagues. She cares — about people and about her craft — and the authenticity and warmth of her service are matched only by her skill. Mad skills. This woman is going places.

First time coming here and the salon is a little gem. Its so cute and quiet, I felt at ease, comfortable and very happy with my passion twist results. Debbie is a beautiful soul with a cornocopia amount of knowledge when it comes to hair and I learned so many awesome tips and recommendations with her (not your typical YouTube stuff). My hair is in a transition phase after a keratin treatment tryout (no formaldehyde as if that matters😄)and she has put me on a fantastic treatment plan to grow out my hair. Highly recommend!!!

Literally saved me in a time of need. I needed a stylist during the virus outbreak and noone was willing to do my hair. I was referred to Deborah by a friend and booked the same day, not knowing how it would all turn out. First off, she traveled to me, which was a huge plus! She was on time, very prepared, super respectful and kind, and she was patient with my hair. I love my braids and cant wait to have her braid it again!! ❤ Not to mention, she is great to speak to! So I had to take the time to write about my experience at @djstylesmiami salon. @djstylesmiami is a hairstylist, more specifically a trichologist, who specializes in treating hair and scalp problems. There aren’t to many trichologist in Miami so when @the.cospace recommended her I was overjoyed to check her out for my daughter. My daughter suffers from a very flaky scalp, I’m talking itchy and white a minute after shampoo and conditioning so to see her scalp squeaky clean, without irritation, completely detangled, and curls popping for an entire week has been amazing.If you know me then you know how important my crown is to me, and even the more for my mini me! @djstylesmiami was quick to respond, book and provide instructions for our appointment which I loved because it left no guess work for me. Also, there wasn’t a laundry list of things to do in meeting for the appointment which again was a plus.During the session, @djstylesmiami taught me literally EVERYTHING that I needed to know about my daughter’s hair. I gotta tell y’all she blew my mind with the techniques she taught me (I’m talking grassroots stuff like how to properly wash your hair) which she allowed me to do hands on, the technology she used (hair follicle imaging and red light steaming), the clinical write up of hair products, treatments (inexpensive but hair type specific and reputable), as well as time frames for wash days to continue my daughter’s hair growth.@djstylesmiami even reinforced all the good that I’d done thus far with my daughter’s hair by telling her that the methods that I was teaching her was correct and that her hair was thriving because of it!!! That meant so much because we know society will tell our children, especially our black children that who they are isn’t enough and @djstylesmiami reinforced that not being true. @djstylesmiami was hilarious, welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge.The appointment was worth EVERY PENNY and as an adult I can say it was my best salon experience EVER! I am so very happy that I could give that experience to my daughter as well and I look forward to post about the appointments and the hair growth going forward!
