5 stars for Mrs Beth, she’s amazing and has true passion for skincare! She taught me so much, was very hands on, was sweet to everyone, gave us her all, and answered every question I had. (There was a lot) I am confident in finding a job post graduation after leaving her class. Thank you Mrs Beth💓 #largocampus I can’t forget about Mrs D, she was 5 stars as well, that class was hard but so much fun! What a great experience we had with at Cheryls evening class with one of her students, Ms. Jewels. They did a wonderful job with my facial. The instructor was fully engaged with the student needing minimal assistance. I actually preferred the school environment more! I was more comfortable and felt I was given the treatment I needed. I studied nails as a part time student at nights here at American Institute of Beauty (Largo). I had a very good experience especially with my instructor Ms. Melissa Xayasone. She’s not only a fun teacher but her way of teaching is hands-on and is based on real-life experiences. Students can always approach her whenever we have questions, concerns and difficulties. I can say that I learned a lot from her. I will also miss my classmates who are like sisters to me now. Thank you for a wonderful and fun experience!

Being in the class was one of the largest blessings in my life. I started off very worried, I could even say scared. The instructor Ashley showed me there was nothing to fear about being a male in the massage therapy field. She not only taught the information but also taught the student. If there was ever a problem within the class she confronted it. Her only expectations was for you to be yourself and come in with an open mind to learn. We had to study the information at home to prepare for the tests. The school Even has massage prep. (A program designed to help you study for the final test to get your license) I had car issues multiple times during my time in the school. I thought I was too far behind and I thought my only choice was to drop out. Ashley worked with me to continue my education. She was correct that I graduated on time. I will never forget the things that I have learned both in the massage therapy field and also as a human. I cant be more thankful for those short months in my life.If anyone has an interest to go into this field I would highly recommend this class. I personally drove 2 hours a day to attend this school.

Mrs.Dee is the best teacher in my opinion in the school she is the right amount of strict so you get your stuff done as well as nice and funny she is a comedian. She teaches in a way that I’ve never seen and I actually love it I have a hard time with the way people teach but she did amazing I understood everything and she helped when I needed it my whole experience in the nail room during the day was great I would do it all over again.

I had an microdermabrasion at AIB on Tuesday. Instructor Ms Shelia and her student Yuliana were outstanding. Ms Shelia is an excellent instructor. She was constantly giving her students positive feedback on their work. Yuliia was very professional and also so sweet and kind and a real quick learner. I will be coming back.

I’m a recent graduate from AIB’s Massage Therapy program.The school itself does have flaws. Upon entry they go over how their systems and policies work in a general manner but the actual workings are unreliable with a strange mix of automated and manual entries leading to constant confusion which can impact the students and their ability to keep track of their own progress difficult. There’s also specifics not mentioned which means if a situation pops up where changes may be required, you may end up getting charged a fee to do so you were not aware of such as having to alter your attendance plans more than once. Be sure to ask questions thoroughly to avoid such issues during your enrollment. The communication also seems rather lacking as educators seemed to struggle to get their requested supplies with typically repeated check ins to make sure their requests were being handled.The night teacher Rubie is very thorough in her demonstrations and always happy to show tips and tricks during hands on work leaving students with a lot of very applicable techniques. She keeps things very fun and always pushes us to do our best.My teacher Ashlee was a very reassuring presence in the day class. She teaches in a very direct and easy to understand manner. She would always be available to ask questions and took the time to make sure we understood even going as far as dancing so we’d never forget it. She’s always on top of things and trying to make sure we have what we need to be successful and keep the class room stocked with supplies. While the night class was transitioning teachers to Rubie, Ashlee would stay to teach the night class as well. Like Rubie, Ashlee is also happy to assist in hands on demonstrations and help us through practicing different skills for the treatment room.She even goes beyond and holds after school MBLEx prep sessions for students studying after they graduate. I will be attending my first session on Thursday and Ashlee plans to help me navigate the application process as well to take my MBLEx so it can be done right the first time. If you want to study Massage Therapy, you couldn’t be in better hands than Ashlee’s who will always be there even after you graduate to get your license. She truly loves what she does and she will happily put in the work if you’re willing to do it.

Shiela and Melissa were one of the best decisions AIB made. These two make the night full specialist program worth every penny. They bring real life experiences as successful business women and mothers bringing lots of inspiration to any student who steps foot in their class. I graduated with not only the experience to be a successful full specialist but a stronger women knowing that I have the support of these two even after graduating. You ladies rock!!

Today I had an appointment for a relaxer. I thick hair and it can be a lot for people to do a perm. I was a little nervous because I was sure they do not get a lot of relaxer appointments (perms are wanting curls). Kia was my stylist and did great. I can be a lot but we worked through the relaxer and wash and she also was tasked with roller setting my hair. I did come with my own rollers and clips so that was a saving grace because it looks like the school uses smaller rollers. After being under the dryer, and with direction from Luis (a teacher who’s Hispanic and knew what I was looking for), Kia blew my roots with a small brush and bumped the ends with a larger brush. I think with more practice, Kia will be great with relaxers and the blow out that I usually get at a Dominican salon. Thank you Kia for being open and so kind. Also thank you Luis who also helped give Kia tips and tricks.Only thing is I think they should get leave-in spray that has a detangle components and not just heat protection spray. The relaxer was mizani, which is a great relaxer.

Ms. D is the day time teacher she is one of the most inspiring teachers I’ve ever had. Everyday I come into class I’m happy to see her and even happier to peruse my new career in nails. She keeps us on our toes and insures we know and abide by the state laws. When I leave Ms.D’s class I know I will have the knowledge and skills to pursue a successful nail technician career. She will prepare you for the real world and you will be at the same level as a nail technician 2 years into their craft.

Just graduated, where I studied clinical skin care.Spent my first 300 hours with Ms. Asia in funds. She was great she always answered all my questions and always made sure I understood what she was teaching.For my last 420 hours I had Ms. Fran and she made sure I was never behind, made sure I to keep my on track and always encouraged me to keep going.Overall I’m very grateful for the education I received from both of them!

I was enrolled in the spa program recently graduated early June. I left empire to come here and it was the best decision I could’ve made. My massage instructor, Ashely, was the best instructor I could’ve asked for. Massage therapy is a lot of information but the way she teaches makes it way better to understand. I strongly believe because of how she created the education plan for this course for this school I was able to pass the MBLEX first try. If you’re thinking about enrolling, do it💗

Out of all my years in school I have to say the 5 months I spent at AIB have been the best in my academic training! I recently graduated from the Clinical Skincare program headed by Mrs. Stephanie who is the best instructor I’ve ever had. Her experience and passion for the industry is present in every lecture/demo she teaches. Her students head out into the real world feeling confident in their knowledge of product ingredients and treatment procedures. Mrs. Stephanie genuinely cares about the success of each of her students before and after graduation. Mrs. Beth and Mrs. Lisa from fundamentals are wonderful as well. Their infectious energy can turn anyone’s bad day around as they teach you the fun side to your new career! Everyone at AIB is rooting for your success, even teachers from other departments (hi Ms Ashby lol)I would definitely recommend AIB if you’re looking for a great cosmo school with an amazing staff! When I first came here I didnt think I could do anything besides a messy bun but they have both been so encouraging and patient and really took the time to help me learn and grow as not only a stylist but a person. I feel ready to graduate and continue my passion in a real salon with my clients because of there caring help and guidance. Truely the best instructors someone could ask for!

Hey guys, another great service on Tuesday by Gianni. I have 1 more service before highlights and lowlights, Im excited to see what she can do. It shows a huge amount of trust to let a student do coloring. I had Paige before Gianni and Paige did a great job on my color. To me that shows the caliber if training these guys get. The only downside, these girls graduate and you need to find someone else. So far Ive had no issues finding another great one. These photos are the color job that Paige did and the blowout service that Gianni does.

I can’t say enough great things about Melody Johnson! She performed a facial on me and once again I was blown away. My skin looks and feels amazing, I was so relaxed it was much needed after a long weekend at work.She is eager to please clients and I greatly appreciate her educating me on my skin, telling me about what products she was using and what they would help with and also making sure she isn’t using anything with coconut it in due to my allergy, she really cares about your experience.Not only is she professional but she’s fun! I took my MBLEx 10 days after graduating and passed the first time, just like I had seen everyone else do that graduated and took it while I was there and even after. The program works! Dont doubt it but Shout about it! My story and sticking to it. If you havent signed up for the program then please do yourself a favor and JUST DO IT! Mrs. Lisa & Beth were also such a great team insuring I knew the fundamentals leading up to my graduation. I just recently graduated the clinical skincare program with Miss.Stephanie. And as someone who just finished high school I can say I have never been close with a teacher until I met Miss Stephanie. I originally wasn’t going to do the clinical program because I was ready to be finished with schooling but I’m so glad I did! Miss.Stephanie is truly for the students which is rare and it shows, everything she does is to ensure each of her students succeed. I have graduated feeling so confident and ready to start my career, I couldn’t imagine stepping out into the world without the knowledge she goes out of her way to give. It’s all love and encouragement in her room and she takes the time to learn everyone, down to even recognizing if you’re feeling a little anxious about a service. She is an amazing teacher ofc but an amazing person over all, and I’m so glad I got the chance to not only meet her but be taught by her as well. And she gives the best facials ofccc!

I recently just completed the Clinical Skin Care Program at AIB & I had the most amazing experience throughout the entire program! The teachers and faculty are so welcoming, knowledgeable & make you feel seen and heard. The fundamentals teachers Ms.Beth & Ms.Lisa are great instructors and I’m grateful they taught me what they know and helped me along the way. The day time clinical instructor Ms.Stephanie, is just indescribable! Her passion & knowledge of skin care is unmeasurable. Before starting the clinical portion I was still very timid and unsure of myself. Ms.Stephanie has a way of bringing you out of your shell and shining like you always knew you could! Ms.Stephanie not only taught us everything she knows, she shares real life experiences with her students to ensure they are prepared for the real world. She left an impact on my life in so many ways, I’m very appreciative of my whole experience here. She literally lives for questions and encouraged us to always ask any and all questions that we had. Today, September 29th, I went to AIB Beauty School to have a Micro Current Facial & Micro Derm LED Light Frequency with Allison Miller. She welcomed me with a warm and friendly smile and got me started. Another Student, India also assisted with the LED Light Frequency. Both Ladies were very communicative with the products, how they worked and the application.. The Entire experience was so relaxing. My skin is GLOWING! The Micro Current Facial really does give your skin a lift! Both Allison and India are quite passionate about what they are learning and have learned. These 2 did a GREAT Job! I have been getting facials and skin care for more years than I want to admit to. Trust me when I tell you my skin feels like Butter..

My experience in the clinical skin care program at AIB was absolutely incredible. All my teachers were great and have left me so knowledgeable and prepared for the world in my future career in esthetics. Ms. Stephanie went above and beyond in teaching me and her other students. She made sure to be fluent in her teaching, sharing her skills, knowledge and education- she took her time to give notes and demos beyond what is taught in the textbook. Ms. Stephanie worked with me one on one to help me master my education and techniques in clinical esthetics. I feel so confident in everything I have learned. Antonio is the man!!! He gave me the most relaxing and enjoyable massage! He was very respectful and conscious of my body ailments. I love it!! Mr Chris’s students are very lucky to have him. What an instructor!! I have never, til today, been mesmerized by watching a blade hair cut. I will certainly be going back! I went in for a mens cut this afternoon, and the student that gave me a haircut was graduating the following Monday. Her name was Lindsey, and she was so sweet and professional.But the real reason for me posting this review is to give thanks to the school for hiring such professional staff. Staff like Shonia Brown who instructs the students on the correct methodology of providing manicures. Shonia Brown instructs the students on all aspects of nail care, from proper nutrition to sanitation techniques regarding nail care.Shonia Brown also loves the art of Barbering and truly enjoys providing mens haircuts.This was most evident today, when she personally supervised and guided Lindsey, the student assigned to give me a haircut.Shonia was so knowledgeable in the techniques required to achieve the type of style that I was looking for. She skillfully guided the student, in all aspect of the execution to achieve the end result that I would not only be proud of but would also enjoy boosting on the whereabouts of where I received such an excellent mens haircut.If you are considering getting your hair cut by a student at such a school, I encourage you to put all your reservations aside and call for an appointment. My experience was wonderful. I felt very comfortable even with the open room. I felt so welcomed by my esthetician Adrianna. The team and teacher in the room was very nice as well.Adrianna spent every minute working on the best treatment for my wrinkles, age spots and hormonal acne. At age 53 with my skin issues I didn’t know if anything could help it look better.She decided to do two different treatments one that would heal my acne as well as lighten the spots and plump up the lines. It was some kind of oxygen treatment that felt amazing.The other was for my neck and décolleté which has many spots. It was a a mild acid treatment which I loved the tingling and scent.My esthetician was also very good with massaging the products in making me feel very relaxed!After the hot towel and moisturizer I went to change and I really was amazingly surprised at the difference, before and after was so exciting. I cannot wait to see it tomorrow as she explained it would work overnight as well.I am so happy that I went as I was leaving the next day to visit family and I felt like I had a lift and my face was glowing. My makeup went on beautifully.All and all it was a great experience. I wish I would have taken photos!

Both Gina and April waxed my legs recently (yes my legs are that big-lol) but they used a different wax on me that resulted in my legs having a consistent shine that I absolutely love! Now I would not say that I am lazy, I am just very efficient with my time and having them wax me helps me save time and money on razors every month! Those two are amazing! April even recommended a body polish for an extra shine and softness on my legs but I didnt have time. I cant wait until my underarm wax appointment in Jan! :)

Current student. I honestly chose this school because no other schools seemed interested in me. No calls back at all, no calls back for days etc. Once I got here - I was thankful! If you’re looking for an accredited school (that’s not in Orlando) this is the school for you! My teacher - Farrah genuinely cares about student success. The school is extremely accommodating to schedules. The school is constantly adding education to the programs, so essentially I’m getting more than I signed up for. Teachers only allow capable students to preform services on clients so there’s no ‘beauty school horror stories.’ In all aspects I recommended this school for services and education.

I love this school so much!!! I’m currently enrolled in Clinical Esthetics and I’m about halfway done with the program. I’ve also been on the Honor roll since day one. The teachers are all so helpful. Lisa, Ferra and Tony are amazing teachers. Also the Director Miss Stacy is extremely understanding. She even checked up on me when I was really sick. I love how this school is so personal and cares so much about the students. The owners are both involved a lot. Miss Janet was the one that convinced me and made my schedule work. That was awesome. Mr. Michael is great as well. He is very involved with the school. He’s an extremely smart businessman that actually teaches us with his business class. American Institute Of Beauty has given me the opportunity and knowledge to achieve my dream of becoming a cosmetologist. Bill handled my financial aid and made the process extremely easy on my part. In the cosmetology program I have had the opportunity to learn different techniques from multiple teachers. Everyone has a different style and technique and getting the opportunity to see the different techniques form multiple teachers has really helped me understand and find what works for me. The director of this location is a cosmetologist and I really like that she takes the time to come out to the floor to help show some new techniques. The students have also been very friendly and helpful. It has been a positive atmosphere on the cosmo floor. I feel that the school has reached all my expectations given the circumstances of COVID-19.

*I am a student at AIB Largo*Let me start by saying that I have never been one to enjoy school. I was determined after graduating high school that I would not go back to school until I was 100% certain of what I wanted to do. It took me getting married and preparing to start a family to get me to that point but I am so incredibly glad that I did finally decide to come to AIB.When I enrolled for the Skin Care program, my main motivation was to advance my makeup artistry training and receive my license so that I could make other people feel great and make money doing it (legally). I never envisioned that I would care so much about Skin Care, the program, and the instructors that I was legitimately sad to be done. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.On top of that, I had the chance to acquaint myself with other instructors from other departments, primarily the Nail Tech instructor, Ms. Mare. To put this in perspective, when I enrolled, I was very vocal about not wanting to do nails at all. And yet, here I am, in the Nail Tech program, all because of Ms. Mare. Despite this not being my passion, I truly have enjoyed it. Ms. Mare is legitimately one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is extremely understanding of each students strengths and she keeps everything as stress-free as possible.I havent had to meet with the administration very much but each time Ive had a question or concern, they have answered it efficiently and worked with me as much as possible. Each staff member I have come in contact with has been helpful, nice, and easy to talk to. It makes for a very positive environment.In conclusion, I do think attending AIB was more than worth it. Ive had opportunities that I could not have found on my own and I have made some great friends in the process. This experience has been a positive one and I am so grateful to this school for helping me refine my skills and reaffirm my passion for the beauty industry. I am currently a student at AIB and I absolutely love it. I was nervous about going to school for skincare and where to go but after further research I decided that AIB was exactly the place for me. I drive from brandon everyday to go to school here and Ihave never thought for one day that it was a waste of time to travel as far as I do for school. The education I have received has exceeded my expectations and I am confident that I will succeed in my profession. My instructors (Ms. Toni and Ms. Lisa) have pushed me and encouraged me in everything i do and have taught me everything I needed to know and more. The school itself is very knowledgeable, including other the other programs. Whenever I have a question about my hair or why my nails chip like they do the nail and cosmo instructors are always more than welcome to help me understand and find ways to better me hair/nails. I have never been more eager to get up in the morning and start my day doing what I love. Being in the medical aesthetician program has been a long but great program and I can’t wait to graduate in January so I can show others my skills and thank AIB for teaching me what I know.
