As a snowbird visiting Florida, i needed a little “maintenance”. Lindsey colored and cut my hair and it looks fantastic. I already got tons of compliments and booked my next appointment. Salon is really nice and has a great vibe. Definitely recommend.

I have purchased product here many times, always super helpful! Im not really a review writer, I read them ..😉, but I felt it really necessary to give the stylist, Summer, a public thank you! I have short hair, pixie-ish, and I like it to be edgy...she nailed it💖....she listened and clearly knows her razor and clipper skills. Short hair is not real common in this area, so its been a journey to find someone. If youve got a short style...shes so good! The staff at the front were amazing too....what a good day!! Thank you guys!

We’ve been seeing Dusty for our hair going on 4 years now and we couldn’t imagine going to a different stylist or salon. Dusty has been so awesome and has become such a great friend. My wife and I always look forward to our time here with their wonderful team and you can’t deny how heavenly an Aveda salon smells. I’m booked through the end of the year already and you should be too.

My go to salon, I almost want to keep it a secret all to myself! If my stylist (hair artist!) Allison wasnt enough to keep me coming back, Susie and Kayleys always sweet and caring customer service would be. Luckily I get the best of both. Altogether there is no doubt why I wont go anywhere else. I always leave looking & feeling better than when I walked in.

I went here on edge and nervous and left with an awesome end result. I gave my stylist an extremely difficult request and was not the most fun customer to work with and she still nailed what I wanted. My stylists name was Emily, and she was amazing. The entire experience was great and was timely through and through. Emily if you see this, I appreciate you greatly.Below attached is the bogus reference image I used (a drawing) and the final result. Sorry if you cant see it good enough.

Front desk man was so nice when I called. Listened while I mentioned I was from out of town. Got an appt the next morning with Rose. She also listened to the type of person I am...what I do for a living etc which all described what might be right for me in a haircut. I had a couple of pictures...She was able to explain to me that bangs would not work for me because of my hairline. The haircut was perfect and I enjoyed our conversations very much.

I have neglected my poor hair for too long! Needless to say Summer had a job cut out for her today. She flawlessly blended my color/highlights (with ZERO judgement). There was a little plumbing snafu which she expertly worked through as well. We had some great laughs about it and I cant wait to see her again!

Rose is AMAZING!!! She really made me feel SO comfortable and confident with her knowledge of cutting my hair, which looks amazing. I was a little nervous at first ...being new to the area and getting a new stylist... but after talking with her I knew she was going to do a wonderful job. I used Avantgarde Salon for my bridal hair and makeup and walked out feeling beautiful and confident. Amanda did an outstanding job and was so friendly and personable. My mom and sister got their hair and makeup done by a few others and we all just had the best time. They truly cared about us and if we were comfortable. Lovely, clean salon and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was my first haircut in 3 years and Rose transformed my out of control frizz into beautiful curls. Now, thanks to her and the Aveda curl products, I am doing it myself at home and maintaining the look even in our humid climate. One thing I feel you should never skimp on, is a good haircut. After years of TERRIBLE haircuts, I have consistently gotten great haircuts from multiple people, since I started coming to Avant Garde. Started by going to Rose for years until my schedule changed, but she seriously has an eye for symmetry and giving your hair that perfect shape. I seriously could give her no direction and she makes my hair fantastic. Next I saw Cassie, she gave me a beautiful short bob, that was exactly what I asked for. She is also an absolute joy to talk to. I loved my cut with Cassie, but suddenly got the urge to go shorter than I ever have. The next stylist I visited was Allie, I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she gave me the PERFECT pixie cut. I love this place and would trust any of the stylists with my hair. You are getting quality cuts that make you feel beautiful. I will be a client for life. :)

Dusty is an ANGEL. He always does the best work on my hair and I trust him completely. He is honest when I ask what would look cute for cut or color and has a genuine interest in making sure I love my hair and that it looks great and is healthy. Every front desk person I have dealt with is wonderful as well!

A salon that cares about the condition of your hair. My granddaughter needed a color correction from a bad decision,,,,, Avantgarde took the time to give a consultation with a treatment plan on how to correct Jennifers hair without damaging her hair. I have been going to Avantgarde for about 2 years. Over the last 2 years, Ive had just about every service done that they provide. Samantha is my hair stylist and she is beyond phenomenal! She listens to what I want and takes into consideration my long-term hair goals. She introduced me to balayage technique and my hair is in the best shape it has ever been in! I love how accommodating and helpful the front desk is when I call to schedule appointments. Kelly is my go-to for waxing and Neil is an amazing masseuse. Thanks Avantgarde for being my hair, body and mind savior!!!

Lindsey was great!! Im not from the area but I had some extensions in my hair that were past due to take out, so I called frantically asking if someone could get me in, and Lindsey fit me in on super short notice. She was so nice and gentle with my extensions and even washed and blow dried. Such a great experience and super cute salon! I’ll be back when I’m in Destin again!

I made an appointment here after getting probably the worst haircut of my life from a different salon. I had a lot of uneven, choppy layers and just overall hated how my hair looked. Tyler took excellent care of me and discussed what I wanted and looked through pictures before we started. I left today absolutely loving my hair! I highly recommend him and I will be coming back!

I am kinda obsessed with this place. I am very particular about who I let cut my hair but I have always been impressed with the level of excellence and professionalism. The best hairstylists IMO is Dusty and Jeremy. They are both super cute and really friendly. Despite being young, I have never had a better hairdresser. Plus they give you a little wine to pamper you. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had a really great experience here. I just moved to Florida and needed a trim very bad. Hope was my stylist and she listened to exactly what I told her. I have a pixie and is growing out and in a mullet stage. It’s always nerve wracking letting some one you haven’t worked with before TRIM a pixie cut but it’s perfect! Definitely will recommend and be back.

I highly recommend Avantgarde Salon! I was visiting Destin and I decided to have my hair cut during my vacation.It is always risky to try a new stylist but I was fortunate to find Kendall. Kendall did a fabulous job and I could not be more pleased with the results. She is very talented and actually listens to what her clients want.Thank you Avantgarde! Kendall, you are the best!

Been here a few times over the years. Nice place inside and out. People are kind. I usually go with fresh talent and almost always get a great mens haircut. If I need to guarantee I get a great haircut then I just go up a level on the stylist. It might cost $50 but I know I will like my haircut when theyre done.

I came in with ruined over bleached hideous hair that was done the day before at a different salon. It was tragic. Samantha was my stylist at avantgarde and I told her what happened and showed her what I was hoping for and she did amazing! Went from ugly yellow Barbie hair to gorgeous actual human hair again. She was so sweet and totally transformed and fixed the mistake done by a different salon and was very sweet! Highly recommend her as a stylist. Shes a magician!

I looked up an Aveda salon and Avant-garde came up. I am from out of town and my salon at home was booked so I thought I would see if there was an opening down in Destin. Sure enough I got a slot at 9am with Elyse. She was great! Very attentive and a joy to talk to. I wish she was closer so I could go to her all year round!!! Described what I wanted which was a cut with layers and easy to style. She gave me tips along the way. 💇‍♀️ Fantastic experience. Book Elyse

Today I received the Rosemary Mint Awakening Wrap. I was so incredibly impressed with the level of customer service I received from my esthetician, Brittany. She was the best kind--one whos passionate and very knowledgable about her work. She helped make the experience ahh--mazing. I could truly tell she loves what she does, and it showed in the quality of service I received. I would recommend her to anyone.

What an awesome experience. We were on vacation in Destin and I decided to take the girls for a mani and pedi. There were five of us and I had called ahead to book the appointments. We were blown away with the treatment we received. We were in a room all by ourselves, brought in our lunch from chicken salad chick,that was suggested when I called to confirm the appointment, and our bottle of wine. We were pampered and treated like Stacey and Kelly had known us forever. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience customer service at its highest level.

Clean place with a wide array of Aveda products! Thanks to Rachel, I tried the outer peace foaming face wash I had been eyeing and Im not disappointed! The fresh face wash softened my skin like satin before I went to end, and its still super smooth this morning. Love Avedas line! Great customer service at this place!
